The location is perfect. It's just next to the famous seafood centre called Topspot. There is a shopping mall and 7Eleven close by. The apartment is equipped with a microwave and cooking facilities (which is a plus for me). The wifi is free and connection was not bad. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Overall it's value for money. Excellent location. You have to eat at Top Spot which is just behind the hotel. The waterfront and many other top restaurants are nearby. The hotel is old but provides comfortable accommodations at a reasonable price. Staff are very helpful. Very nice roof top pool with great views.
all reviews » spacious & clean room. Very near to waterfront. You can just walk around to grab things. No need to rent a car & this can save you a lot. Top Spot seafood just behind the hotel. Very convenience place to stay. I will come back to stay here at Ariva again. We stayed at 3 Bedroom Apartment. We love everything about the apartment. Very near to Top Spot Food Court and convenience store. ATM machine is just within the building. Within walking distance to Kuching Waterfront. Definitely will stay here again. Easy access to Places of interest, shopping centre & water front river & top spot seafood just next door. The 2 bedroom unit comes with dryer/washing machine. excellent service with security. room was big, bed was comfortable, shower was strong and warm, nice view from the 15th floor (rooftop), good location, lots of cheap and good eating places within walking distance. I like Ariva Hospitality..especially Ms. Marie have arrange birthday cake to my wife...I was really awesome! We really love it and most memorable day for my wife.. Ariva Gateway!. Well.. the staffs are friendly n helpful. The apartment is nice n comfy to stay. The breakfast is prepared by another managemant. Simple but enough for starting a day. comfort and spacious room friendly and helpful staff near almost every Kuching town attraction ( radius 2 km) comfortable for family with small children. The friendly service and the housekeeping ensured that our room was clean. Breakfast was fairly good too. Nice location, nice view from the room during night,. Nothing... Cant find a towel at the pool eventhough during opening hour. No one around available to ask n eventhough the receptionist said it should be someone there. Nothing. Only one washroom in the family size room. Need to share a washroom by two bedroom guests. Limited choice on the breakfast. Breakfast not many choices and cramp. We end up breakfast at coffee shop elsewhere. Lobby at level 4, quite confusing for first timer. Some parts were broken in the toilet, but immediately replaced by friendly technicians when I called. Very little choices of breakfast. The parking space is quite limited and there is no lift from the parking level to the main lobby. Breakfast is the same everyday as we stay for 4 nights. overall is good. don't have a good view from the room but we manage to get to the swimming pool top floor to view Kuching. No water hose for toilet. Elevator a bit slow. Menu for breakfast is poor. Need improvement. Especially for those who accommodate more than 3 days because having the same breakfast menu is very frustrating. Swimming pool is not suitable for young kids. Not much choice of breakfast..lighting to be provided more at the main road into hotel entrance. You have to take 2 lift enter to the room. breakfast do not have much choices. Breakfast. Lack of seating during breakfast and we have to wait for 1 hour for asking a new refill... Some of the staff at the front desk takes too long to do things. noisy rooms aircon, no slippers in the room, at least a tv to watch in a master bedroom, no towel shelf to hang dry towels in the toilet n lastly PLEASE change the old iron board.... sitting area sofa was too soft or its about time to change. waited to get breakfast voucher while your staff left to toilet. Hard difficulty getting a taxi near the hotel. Due to this, hotel should provide airport transfer. bad breakfast and broken sauna. no designated non-smoking rooms. Old fittings and unattractive tiled flooring. Bathroom badly in need of upgrading for a purportedly 4 star accommodation. Shower spoilt during the stay but response fast for repair. Not user friendly for young children especially the swimming pool. Breakfast was too basic and need varieties to suit the cost paid. Space for breakfast guest was too small and not comfortable. The bathtub and the interior is getting old and worn out. Different lifts to go up to room and lobby. Breakfast menu is the same but place is ambient. The smell in the lifts and front entrance. - Fittings old - Washroom/toilet had leaks soaking up the floor - Reception on 10th floor with no porters present to receive guests on arrival to help with bags. the room is not what i expected. i had expected to get an apartment room as promised by the website. but when we checked in, turns out it is just a regular room. i might as well check in somewhere else much nicer.
