  Of all the times I've been to Macau, it was my first time staying at Grand Lapa. I liked the old style charm of the hotel, especially the breakfast buffet dining restaurant. The staff was quite friendly and attentive. I saw the gym area and pool and looked like we were definetly be back next time to try that out. This is a truly upscale and nice place, no worse than all the other 5-star hotels (Venetian, Conrad, Hard Rock, ...) around it. The only thing about this hotel you can associate with Holiday Inn is its pricing. The hotel actually prices itself quite a bit lower than its neighbors there. Gym and spa facilities are very nice. My elder son was accidently dropped his cellphone at lobby while he was in the rush to visit doctor with his father (he has fever for few days in macau). There is usually a number of taxies outside the hotel. Walking distance to Old Taipa area and also the Cotai strip where all the main hotels and casinos are.
