I stayed there in mid May 2013 & they have just launched the week before! So everything is extremely new & pristine & clean. Love the amenities provided for ladies - from laundry soap to nail polish remover! Very impressed. Around the hotel, there are some neighborhood bars which many locals frequent, so you get to taste what the locals do. It's located within a business district so you can expect happy hour crowd & many fast food outlets. Stone throw away from the subway stat.
all reviews » - The room is very clean and well organize and bigger than some other hotel that we've stayed. - The staffs was very helpful. We was looking for car shop somewhere out of town, the reception was kindly enough to call that shop for us and check if they were open on that day. - The hotel is only few steps from Kitahama Subway Station. From the station, exit no. 6 and turn left then you ll find the hotel. - It's super convenient, there is a big super market in subway station near Exit no. 5 and. Easy to find, two subway connections to Umeda (Yodobashi Stn and Kitahama Stn). Love the no-fuss check in machines where you pay and get your receipt and keycard all in one instant. Room is perfectly fine. Loooking is perfect, with Kitahama Stn and the Public City Hall around the corner. When I stayed there the Hikari-Renaissance Festival of Lights had just opened in the area. Great spectacle at 5m walking distance from the hotel. The hotel was lovely, the rooms comfortable and spotlessly clean, the staff friendly and very obliging. A request I had made several months earlier (at time of booking) for a top floor room was met.Once we had sorted out the subway, the location was very good. The voucher system for a (cheaper) breakfast was terrific. It was fabulous staying in a new (classy) hotel for such a reasonable rate. Highly recommended!. The Hotel is near new so all facilities are undamaged/not worn/up to date. Opposite the Metro subway so good for access, walking distance to Osaka Castle and a number of shopping districts, surrounded by good eating places. Rooms were spotlessly clean, and appeared almost brand new. Large room for a Japanese hotel, especially in this price range. Very quiet rooms, with comfy beds and pillows. We would love to stay here again for the next visit to Osaka. We liked the fact that there was a massage chair in the room. We could massage the aches away after walking for hours sight-seeing. Another plus point was the fact that the subway station is so so near. It is located immediately next to the Kitahama subway station. It is new and equipped with facilities that I need. There are two subway stations near the Hotel. It's quiet on holiday. The staff was wonderful and the room, though on the small size, was plenty large for us Americans with our jumbo suitcases. The size of the room is quite small - a standard economy room. But not a major problem to us as we're tiny Asians!. The instructions on the web for finding the hotel were too vague. No mention of which subway exit to take (crucial information). The closest subway exit is literally around the corner so a comprehensive description of which trains (change overs required) to take from the main station & which exit gate would have made it a lot easier. Also, I'm surprised that a new city hotel is unable to offer one English speaking TV channel or in house movie. Even though we were on a non smoking floor unfortunately the smell and ingrained stench of stale cigarettes permeated the hallways and lifts. It's a shame considering it only opened in May 2013. Breakfast was fairly basic, but adequate. Nothing. Only down side was one has to pay to watch any television. Location is not very convenient. Internet connection was slow, sometimes very slow !. The hotel was a bit difficult to find (it's the last exit and has it's own elevator down a hallway). The location is not particularly central. In addition, the hotel tried to charge us for an additional hour (1000 yen) although we specifically requested for a late checkout by an hour at 12pm (which they agreed and no charge was mentioned then). The issue with the additional charge was sorted quickly though and was waived in the end, thanks to a nice lady at the reception. need to transfer 2 times from umeda station(though close) by taking subway. Even it's location is very close to the "kitahama" subway station, but the "Kitahama" subway station is a bit far from the midosuji-line stops. not found. No iron in the room but available from reception. - Internet connection a bit slowy and 'buggy'. it's hard to find it by using google map or gps . despite its location is on the exit of subway ,you need to figure out which exit you should go since there are lots of exit in that subway station and can't find by google . It would be better if the washer & dryer are separate sets, similar to the one found in Daiwa-Roynet Kyoto, more people can make use of the service at the same time. No. Nil. Western style breakfast will be nice to be served. staff not very friendly: we arrived 1 hour earlier than check in time and the staff proposed us an early check in paying part of the fee. Unfortunately we had a bad experience with an older taxi driver didn't understand where to take us to the Daiwa Roynet Hotel Osake-Kitahama. They took us to the other Daiwa Roynet hotel chain. Very lucky though a gentleman helped us and ordered another taxi and explained which Diawa we were staying at. He provided wonderful service and was very kind helping us as we didn't speak the language. The subway close to the hotel is not well connected and you will need to change lines. Although hotel location is close to kitahama metro station, the connectivity to osaka JR is limited. The only way is to go to Shiei Yodobashi station.
