It's located near the train station, and bus stop which has easy access to shopping centers and tourist destinations, and the downtown Kyoto. There are some restaurants and convenient stores around the hotel. Rooms are clean, beds and pillows were comfy, and all 3 types of the breakfast were yummy. The hotel staff was friendly and speaks good English. The public bath was really nice too, good and relaxing, especially after a long walk touring the city.
all reviews » we had no choice but booked a family room (2 nights) good for 5 people but we were only just 2 adults with our 15 month old since no better hotel was available during our trip. it turned out a great choice because it was very spacious and clean and cozy. my lil toddler love running around. will booked same hotel again if we ever get back to Kyoto next time. worth money spent with good breakfast delivered to our room every morning. :). Room was very big, clean, traditional Japanese bed was very comfortable, they brought breakfast to the room in the morning, very helpful and friendly staff. Very near everywhere with the bus and rail tram. Direct buses to Kyoto station. Transformer rental which was brilliant because I didn't bring one.. Everything was good, I would definitely stay there again when I go back to Kyoto. The hotel is in a good location. There are bus station nearby as well as the Omiya subway station. Also the street trolly is very close by. The Hotel offers free breakfast and has a good bathroom with high water pressure. They beds were also very comfortable. In fact often I didn't want to get out from them. The staff were helpful and did provide many pamphlets as guides to Kyoto. We loved the village Kyoto. It is value for money. The kids liked to make their own beds and clean up in the morning. They liked the bath and te restaurants in the neighbourhood. The breakfast is not western at all but even that was nice to have. The staff is nice, the room is cleaned every day and the hotel is close tot everything worth seeing in Kyoto. Great location, rooms were huge by Japanese standards with really comfortable futon beds. It was great having a microwave, the breakfast was delivered every morning and was good. Staff were great. we loved this hotel, it was one of the best we have stayed at. Very clean with great facilities and close to a metro station and convenience stores. Next to Shijo Omiya station. Access to kyoto station by three train about 510 yen total (us 5.1) considering ok price for transportation. across from hotel has train to Arashiyama. nearby has drugstore, seven eleven airport express from KIX to Shijo Omiya just across from hotel Breakfast included front desk is friendly gd price, value. It is in a good location for both bus and subway travel. There are plenty of print out outs in the lobby to help you find your way around Kyoto and nearby places to eat. The staff is friendly and willing to try and help answer any questions. The room is perfect if all you need it for is a good safe comfortable place to sleep. Location is excellent as it's near bus stop and tram/ subway station. Airport limousine bus to/from Kansas airport stops about 150 meters from hotel. 15 mins taxi ride to Kyoto station for approx 1000yen. About 10 mins bus ride to downtown (kawaramachi). The hotel is very clean, spacious for Japanese standard. My kids like the futon style beds. The location is great. Near subway, seven eleven nearby, 24hrs supermarket across the street. Overall, we do enjoy our four nights stay here. Very nice hotel, tatami japanese style, near to Omiya station and also Randen station ( station for visit tourist area ) , bus access also very easy.. To shopping mall or Gion just take 1 bus for less then 10 minutes. My husband enjoyed the baths on the ground floor. What a cultural experience. Location close to 2 subway and bus stops. Clean towels and toiletries were placed in plastic bags outside our room when "Do not disturb" sign was placed at the door. It is a descent hotel. We all enjoyed hot public bath which was very clean and cosy. It was great that shampoo, shower gel and even body lotion were provided. The staff are nice and helpful. The WiFi was only available at the lobby, but if you have a laptop, you can connect with a LAN cable. No wifi in the room and it wasn't working properly in the lobby. The free internet is just wired in the room with wirless in the lobby. nothing. It would have been great to have Wifi in the room, but the lobby was a great meeting place, although it did get pretty crowded in the evenings. You can not use the onsen if you have tattoos, this is common throughout Japan but there are plenty of others that will make an exception for travelers. I'd say that's for 2 or 3 people. Unfortunately they didn't mentioned this in a description and it looked much bigger in the pictures. Windows were facing a wall. The staff that serve us checked-in on the first day didn't smile to us. maybe she got a bad day. A bit far away from JR line for visitors. Still only a 15 minute walk to Nijo station, so not to bad. Staff not friendly, gave me some wrong directions and not clear information about breakfast, beverages not included. It wasn't a huge problem but, breakfast was one hour late. There was a leak in the pipes behind bathroom basin which lead to floor becoming wet. My window faced the window of an adjacent apartment 1 meter away; I had to keep it covered for privacy. wifi only accessible in lobby, location was a bit hard to find but subway and bus only few minutes away!. The breakfast provided wasn't really fresh and tasty to cheer up the morning. no wi-fi in room. no have. No wifi in room. none. As I was there in mid-December, room was constantly cold. Staff could hardly communicate in English. So, cannot rely on them to give much help. The breakfast. For the price we paid, the breakfast was very poor and disappointing. The breakfast can be improved. Staff were rather impatient. Internet access only available at the lobby. No luggage deposit was allowed for overnight. Room Wi-Fi didn't work. The sofa is also the bed. And you have to make it yourself. Crazy!.
