The room is clean. It is near Kyoto Station which is just 4 minute walk. It provides free tickets to Kyoto Tower and with the booking, you can experience public bath nearby with a 50% discount. Wifi available in the room. Breakfast is of reasonable price. Polite and helpful staff. Great location and close to bus stops and railway station. Free ticket to Kyoto tower is great. Only there for one night unfortunately. The breakfast incl bacon was very good. Hotel was central, near the railway station, bus terminal and shopping area was easily accessible.
all reviews » Loved the location within easy walking distance of the Kyoto train station. Also the Japanese-style buffet breakfast was much better than I expected, so thumbs up for that!. The driver complained that it was walkable (which is true), but I told him that we did not know the exact location and that we had a lot of luggage. When we gave him a 1,000 yen and told him to keep the change - he smiled and said thank you!. the walls and door were paper thin, you could hear everything in the next room and in the hall; bring some earplugs. The bathroom is extremely small. The room bit small. wi fi is only available in the lobby.once they are cleaning the room, you can't go back in. The room was extremely extremely small!! I was travelling with my husband and a 12 year old child, and had the triple room and there was not enough space to open up all the luggage! Room was so very tiny!! Room heating is centrally controlled which means you cannot adjust the settings to suit your preferences, you'll end up feeling hot and bothered after a while and have to resort to opening the windows to let the cold December air in. Staff was cursory, not very helpful. I found it strange that they don't wash the cups when we made a cup of coffee instead of green tea.
