This is a wonderful hotel. I have enjoyed staying here more than any other. Rather than repeat all the advantages of staying here frequently referred to in other reviews, I would like to emphasise the quiet elegance of this hotel. The restaurant food for lunch and dinner is fabulous and very good value for guests - Eating on the pontoon, especially at breakfast time really was wonderful. The internet wifi signal was very weak in my room, one staff member tried to help me, but the room was in the corner of the hotel where was signal weak, and I was sitting next to the door of the room so that I can catch the signal. -Very small shower in my room. Don't know if all rooms are the same though. -Wireless internet really only worked in the lobby with any consistency -Cell service in room very bad -Breakfast area very small. Nothing. The 4 flights of stairs to my room. The single bed was very narrow. Curtains let in too much light. Could not control the heating. No elevator made carrying large suitcases a bit difficult. Noise in adjacent alley however staff moved us to a quiter room. I loved it all........ Wading through icy water to get to hotel. I just cannot afford the evening meal options .. No lift. Tiny room which was not very clean. Toooo expensive for a 3 star hotel. Room was on top floor and I found the stairs a bit daunting. Also, the room was very small. Bedroom was very small. There was not enough space for two suitcases and two people moving around the room was difficult. Seemed expensive for what we were getting.
