What people say
The location; the quietness; the breakfast (for italian standard it's very good); actually as close to perfect as you can get in Venice. A lot of boats stop close by (from two sides). At least boat two (the rest I don't remember exactly); there's a fridge and aircon. This was a great hotel. It had a very convenient location near the Academia water bus stop. It was centrally located so all major attractions were within a five minute walk. The breakfast was helpful in keeping my overall food costs down.all reviews »
The staff were very helpful, and accomodating. The hotel itself was beautiful and it has the nicest sitting area outside. We were thrilled by our entire experience and would definately stay here again!!. Our room was immaculate. It even had air conditioning which made such a difference as the weather was very hot. Our breakfast across the road at the Hotel del Arti was superb.Breakfast was provided by the Hotel Belle Arti and was first rate. All of the staff of the Belle Arti were excellent - helpful in every respect. The price and location were very good. near venice biennale and via garibaldi. Good location and very nice staff. Cleaning and comfortable. Recommend!. The location is excellent and so was the room.very very good hotel for a resonable price. possition. The room was fantastic and position was good. I enjoyed thishotel very much and would recommend to others. The services that you can use of the hotel who is near. We were upgraded to the hotel alvi, its sister hotel. The building at the Domus Cavanis address was being renovated, so I actually stayed at the hotel across the street. It was a great value! The room was wonderful, the location was great, and the staff helpful. The proximity from the metro and the abundance of restaurants in the area. Location, cleanliness, friendliness of staff, breakfast. Very well situated.Pleasant staff, extremely helpful. Clean room, air-condition. A breakfast. Good location- easy walk from vaporetta; breakfast in main hotel across street was very good; room was clean and quiet; Staff was helpful; would stay there again.location in venice, room was warm even though the weather was freezing! breakfast was lovely and we were free to come and go as we wished. The hotel was easy to find and very central to everywhere in Venice. The staff were very helpful and friendly.location. Excellent location between the Gugenheim and the Academia galleries, easy to get from the train station by boat, easy walk from St Mark's square, amazing value for an expensive city. Position of the hotel is perfect. We get very easy acces to all directions. Breakfast was great, specialy if you have it in the garden of Bell Arti. The room is very clean. Very good location, nice quiet area and very convenient for water bus. Very nice breakfast. Clean rooms. Good value for money.Breakfast was really good and location. Very convenient location. The location was great - very close to vaporetto and Accademia bridge; breakfast was great; hotel staff (the one at Bella Arti, not Domus Cavanis) was very helpful;. Breakfast at the hotel belle arti was great. Air conditioner was good too, and the cleaning was done daily. The hotel was in the main island of Venice and it was also good that it is placed in a calm neighbourhood. Excellent, quiet location. Lovely breakfast provided each morning. Close to Vaporetto.Situation of the hotel - very close to major tourist places. The positition, being able to use the Belle Arte hotel opposite for drinks on that beautiful terrace, the fact it was clean and comfortable and the friendliness of the staff. The breakfast was perfect and there was a variety in food even it was at the neighboring hotel. Actually, I stayed at the Hotel across the street. I guess it is a partof Domus Cavanis.Breakfast in the patio was an Excellent choice!!. Closeness to Vaporetta Stop. near to everything. location. Excellent location; Very large and spacious room; Great value for money; Have own key which need not to leave at reception, can come and leave any time of the day/night. Excellent location and rate. Perfect for city breaks.Nice safe area to stay, but off the beaten path. Good location, easy to find. Close to Academia and not so far to St. Marko square. Breakfast quiet good (maybe because it was served at three star opposite hotel). However, for us it was just a place to spend a night. During carnival, you are not really staying at hotel watching TV :). We were put at there other facility Belle Arts across the street. The location is good. Close to two water buss stations. NIce court yard with a fountain. Location and breakfast. Price is very good if compared to the rest of hotels in Venice. The hotel is very simple but OK -clean and comfortable.great breakfast, since we enjoyed the breakfast in the oppisite 3 star hotel instead. Its location is very near to Accademia stop, hence very convenient, nearto San marco. N/A. The breakfast staff could be a little friendlier, but the breakfast itself was really good. The light to arrive to the room doesn't worked really fine. The poor breakfast. size of the room, view. the lift was out of order but this wasn't really a problem. Our bathroom door did not work properly, we reported this but nothing was done. the room felt quite small, mainly due to the way it was decorated. I had to check in from another hotel, Hotel Belle Arti. Domus Cavanis has its rooms operating but there is no staff working in there. Anyone could have easily entered the hotel building, to door was always open without a staff. Domus Cavanis itself did not have any facilities at all. Breakfast at Bella Arti across pathway - not really a problem. Drinks in bar quite expensive, but probably reflective of Venice generally.Staff is not good in English and not helpfull. No staff was present at Domus Cavanis, as they had an arrangement with an adjacent hotel for hotel services. Front door was left open and we had a concern for our personal safety and safety of our valuables. security. There was no administration in Domus Cavanis, everything had to be settled with Belle Arti;. The faucets in the bathroom sink and the bidet were not working too well. We informed the staff, and they made a note about it and said they would send someone to take a look at it. We came back at the end of the day and nothing had changed. We decided it wasn't worth arguing about it, although in retrospect, we should have asked for a different room.It was difficult to find the hotel if you don't remember the name of the other hotel where is supossed to be the reception. In fact we didn't see any sign of the hotel Cavanis because it is inside of Hotel Belle Artis. In our opinion, the staff wasn't very nice. would have liked tea/coffee facilities in room. It was difficult to locate because it is now an annexe of Belle Arti - this should be made clear. The only problem I had was, unfortunately with the breakfast which I thought was rather disappointing. My cappuccino was undrinkable and tasted like instant coffee and the fruit salad was starting to ferment so was slightly 'fizzy' . This was a pity as otherwise my stay was faultless. The room wasn't cleaned by the check-in time. The shower unit was broken down. The ac is controlled by the front desk.Yes, the fact that there was no one in the Domus Cavanis front desk but in the sister property across the hotel ( Belle Arti Hotel) so for any inquiry you have to go to the other hotel. Lack of English channels on TV and no tea making facilities in room. elevator out of order. Unfriendly unhelpful and rude at the time staff; Was put in one room for 2 days then after 2 days needed to move to another room with no prior notice! Bathroom and plumbing’s in it were just beyond imagination! Asked staff to fix the toilet, supply tv antenna lead and change remote control betteries and all that followed up by no action.Plumbing’s in the bathroom really need maintenance (many things not working properly or at all). This is second time that happed during my stay at that hotel!. hard foam pillows. Price a bit high even for carnival event. No internet access for guests. Air conditioning did not work and no one at the hotel cared to fix it. People serving breakfast are not welcoming at all. Walking to San Marco Sq is hard to get to on foot: it is far and the way to get there is confusing. So altogether the hotel offers an Ok price and Ok service and does not care one bit if you like the place or if you are comfortable. No staff available at the reception of the hotel during xmas holidays. For every inquiry had to cross to the hotel BelArt. a lit bit old. Taken over by Belle Arti, so breakfast was in that hotel, whichgot crowded.
