This hotel was fantastic! Do not listen to all the negative reviews and just try the hotel for yourself. The room was lovely and clean, the staff were great and the breakfast was excellent. This was one of the best hotels we have found during our time in europe. its a very good hotel..near the bus stop and near the city..can just walk around venice in one day..! good service good room..everything is just perfect..! its a good choice for friends and couples..!.

Did not the watered down fruit cordial and tinned fruit cocktail at breakfast - fruit juice and fresh fruit would have been better. no internet wifi. it doesn't smell nice in the lobby, and the outside appearance is just too old. the staff was not very friendly or helpful.Pretty basic, breakfast was very poor. The hotel reception smelt so bad. The bathroom didn't have clothes hangers nor door lock ...!! The internet was only available in the reception.the poor breakfast buffet. no lift. We booked 2 quadrapule room. The hotel reserved one quadrapul room and one triple room. I would not rate Hotel Canal and Walter as a 3 star. It is definitely more 3 star. The bathroom was clean but in need of repair, including a dripping tap. The most disappointing factor was definitely the breakfast which was more typical of a budget hotel.Rooms are very small. Breakfast was not good. Canned fruits and juices.Nothing good. to say the least, the room we stayed was completely different from what was shown on pictures on the website, rooms were small and gloomy. hotel staff not welcome. almoste hostile...sorry but i just have to admit it was not best experience whatsoever. everything except the view in which the windows were such that i did not have the pleasure of enjoying the canal inspite of paying for it. also nthe ac was not cooling that much. It was not value for money. Too steep stairs for carrying luggage. Very basic breakfast.booking was not on receiption on my arrival, but luckely they had available room. They are not flexible on brekfast time for people on vacation. Bad smell in lobby. Room is far away from pictures on web side, room was much worse compare to descriptions.
