Very close to metro station (50 meters) , very close to Milan Central Train Station (200 meters) (airport bus- either from Bergamo and Malpensa also park there) and very close to the center of the city (about 15 minutes walking from Duomo). Ideal for shopping and to stroll around the city. . Clean. Polite personnel. Excellent as always. Very friendly and helpfull staff who speak a number of languages. The location is absolutely superb. Just across the road from centrale station, it's perfect for the coach to the airport. Very clean rooms. I always stay here whenever I go to Milan and I don't see that changing.
all reviews » I always stay at Idea Milano Centrale as it has a perfect location, right across Milano Centrale station. Whether you are coming to Milan by train or by bus from the airport, it is the perfect hotel. Rooms are clean and very nice. Good stuff and breakfast, great value for money!. The staffs were polite and kind and the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was good. There was a safe in the room which was really useful. A good place near central station (Milano Centrale) so you will have easy access to other parts of Milan. Rooms & hotel had a pleasant design, staff was friendly. You could always feel the smell of sewage in the room and there was a glass half partition to separate the shower which was inefficient and the water flooded the bathroom each time I took a shower. WiFi was not free and cost 7 € for each device per 24 hours. The hotel was actually further away from the city center than we thought (20-30mins walk), but the metro leaves just in front of the hotel. The area is a bit loud, but not more than around any other train station. The floor of the shower was smooth and slippery. No drawers for clothes. Open hanging space wardrobe. Wifi paid (7 euros each 24 hours and if you sharing the room, you can´t use the same code, you have to pay twice! - 14 euros the couple). The bed is large, but has a space between the mattresses that is not comfortable. Paying for wifi unusual - first time encountered in several cities we visited. Nothing to see in the area, but we knew that and easy to commute. No FREE Wifi in the room or the lobby. Rooms were a little small. The bathroom was a little bit not comfortable for shower but not such a big problem. They don't have the curtain to close so the water will come out when taking shower. Only pay tv!. the shower had a major pbm of leak the breakfast was not we expected to be : no choice of fresh fruits, little bread, no vegetables or porr choice. Air conditioning not working properly at times. A/C is central controlled, and we feel a bit too hot. Although there is big window which can be openned very wide, but we cannot lock it in slightly open position, just to let cool air in. nothing. Breakfast was ok but not great, no free wi-fi. There is no free Wifi!. this is a lift, not an elevator. It runs very, very slowly by design very very small. Relative small room and no tiles cover. No slipper provided. Noisy at breakfast room due to the way of staff working is rough. No free WiFi and have to pay 7 Euro for 24 hours usage. Luck of private parking. TV instructions not good small shower. Nothing. tiny bathroom. The shower leaked something terrible! I spent 10 minutes after showering mopping up the huge puddle with the shower mat, ringing it out, soaking up more, etc.The shower door didn't stay closed and the lip of the shower floor was too shallow. Very bad design. My cousins had the same problem when they stayed there... Shower water will splash to toilet paper easily, the floor draining device looks like blocked with ponded water after bath. I didn't get my wake up call, the rubbish bin in the bathroom was broken and due to minor details like patched together skirting boards it had a slightly shabby feel. Small elevator. Bedrooms too small. The room is too small for 3 persons. Areas outside rooms too dark. Hard to locate lock locations. Bathroom in room 601 leaks badly. Nothing. Most facilities look great, but the quality is actually not. Things are broken easily. Internet is not free either. My colleague had to change rooms has the toilet was broken. and the walls of the hotel were very thin, you could hear the next room flushing their toilets. Wifi a bit pricey. - Small shower - Small desk if you have to work - WiFi not free - TV remote not friendly use - Breakfast: poor variation to choose from. - Price for internet access is 7 EUR / d and only for ONE device!!!.
