Location is perfect, only few minutes walk from P. roma to our hotel and like walking around a building where we catch our shuttle, people's mover to our cruise ship. Vaporetto or water taxi is just outside the hotel. A grocery is close by where we bought our bottled water and food supply. We chose to walk via academia to rialto and P. mar - Coming from the airport by bus around 9pm, this hotel was close to the drop off point which was useful with roller suitcases. We were greeted by a friendly man who made us welcome and up-graded our room to one that overlooked the canal. It was great waking up to the canal boats going about their business, after we had enjoyed a comfortable nights sleep. Although simply furnished the room was clean and quaintly old-world with exposed beam look. The breakfast was great and plenty of it! The staff

We called up to the hotel and they asked whether we wanted to cancel our booking. They also said that despite flood the hotel had no problems and they were looking forward to their guests to arrive. There was absolutely no noise from the train station or the canal adjacent the apartments. Due to the location you do not get large numbers of passers by, so very peaceful.
