An amazing place. The room was spacious and luxurious. There was a desk, a comfy chair, a very comfy bed, a minibar with local products and a chandelier! I was not disturbed by noise from outside (the room was facing a side road) or from inside. The breakfast had a range of homemade products - including homemade bread and yogurt and I was asked what strength of capuccino I wanted! all reviews » The most importantthings your going to want to find in a b&b are the room and the breakfast. Our room was great. It was large and beautiful. And the breakfast was always great too with homemade breads and yogurt and other options it was great. The location is also excellent only being a few minutes from the train station and duomo. Finally the cleaning lady was excellent every day we came back to a very clean room and fresh towels. The location of Alloro is perfect. The Via del Giglio is a side street and it is quiet for being directly in the middle of the happening. I was travelling by train and the station is just a 5 min walk away. The Duomo, Uffizi Gallery and the Ponte Veccio are easy to reach by walk. Antonella and the other staff are very nice! Welcoming! And the breakfast was simply special! Thank you!. In the mornings we could hear dishes clanging were people eat and outside can be rather loud too. Nothing. But, Cold and peeled hard boiled eggs were not so nice. If staying at the front of the B&B it could be a bit noisey so go prepared with earplugs as we did. Shower was the quadrant type and as always, a bit of a squeeze, and I'm on the slim side. Cristian and his father could have been more friendly and would have liked more assistance with directions. We had a tour booked and they were not able to start breakfast 15 mins earlier for us. That was disappointing since it was cereals and pastries which are already there.We stayed 4 nights. Room, service. The noise from the streets behind the B&B. Single-room a little bit small. Bathroom was ok. noisy street in morning. expensive parking. nothing except croissants at breakfast !!!!. Because of the great location, it is in the city and can be a little noisy. Everything was great. The single room is quite small and the pictures doesn't do justice to the reality. I thought I was getting a double bed and just got a single bed with small bathroom. Therefore, the price was too much for what I've got. We arrived around 11 .30 p.m and had emailed the owner who kindly agreed to return to reception in the evening . On arrival, however, we were greeted rather silently and stony facedely by the owner which after a long journey we did not find friendly or comforting. Breakfast poor. Room too small for three adults. Overpriced in our view ( The reception is not 24 hour). the room we stayed was close to reception so at breakfast time we were woken up very early. Abit noisy at night especially on Friday night.
