First time staying here and wont be the last,found it to be very relaxing,staff fantastic,loads of parking rooms were clean,wifi,multichannel tv,and very comfortable bed,could not hear any noise from street,and had an undisturbed 2 nights of sleep.Very convenient to everything so a very pleasant stay.Would rate it top hotel in tralee as i am a regular traveller to the area. Superb. We had a great stay! Our room was very nice and spacious. It was a bit old fashioned which wasn't a problem at all. The bathroom was clean and more modern. The breakfast next morning was brilliant. Continental breakfast and Full Irish, which we both loved. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful, especially the lady at the front desk! We would definitely come back!.
all reviews » The staff were great,very friendly the location was ideal,our only problem was the room seemed to be a little run down,there was a long rip in one of the chairs,another chair was missing its back,the curtain was falling down,there was no book in the room giving us a run down on the area and services around the area,other than that the hotel is ok. Staff friendliness here is without equal in any other hotel I have stayed in. Service in the bar and at breakfast, the central location, good size rooms are other positives. I find the Brandon a lovely place to stay when in Tralee and it is very competitively priced. The pleasant, efficient, friendly staff. The good location - easy access to town, beaches & countryside. Meals & service good. Rooms a good size with decent en-suite facilities & toileteries. Staff were fantastic, giving me ideas of things to see in Tralee. Very short walk (less than 5mins) to the centre of town. Friendly staff, very helpful. Lovely room. Nice bar, quiet and relaxing. The only thing we didn't like was that the hotel still uses real keys to enter the room: I think changing that to key cards would be much more up to date. The pillows were VERY firm! The hotel was clean but in need of re-furbishment as it looked a little tired. Room very warm, even with windows open. 1 member of bar staff was very nasty when i asked for a glass of water it really upset my night. That the swimming pool could be a bit cleaner. changing rooms were very good but the pool was very dirty. rooms were a little old-fashioned. Very noisy at night on rooms looking out on Princes Street,need to replace windows with double glazing. old fashion rooms. not great choice for breakfast would have liked an early swim on saturday. n/a. nothing. Didn't like cleaners continually coming into the room starting from 10 o clock!. Could not get anything to eat after nine. There was no offer of having a sandwich done up for you. receptionist not very welcoming. when we first checked i was appalled at our room,smell of cigerette smoke in corrider was awful,i brought this to the attention of the receptionist and told her i was disappointed as the room did not resemble the superior room that we had booked for.....the recptionist was so nice and accomadating she changed our rooms without hesitation and apologised.... Outdated decor in old part of hotel-worn patterned carpet in corridors and on stairs and dark furniture and doors made hotel look depressing and old fashioned. Beds bad thin stained blankets aand room was cold at night. The room I was staying in (room 527) had a broken spring at the side of the mattress. I unfortunately caught my leg in this when getting out of bed and it resulted in a small cut. When I examined the mattresss it was badly damaged on one side. I did report it to the receptionist on duty on the following morning who did not seem to be concerned. I felt this reflected badly on both the hotel and the staff. Looks quite tired and the service in the evening wasn't brilliant. needs re vamp. service. Heating wasnt on in our room when we got there had to ring down. Our double bed was in fact 2 single beds pushed together wasnt happy with that at all. Very uncomfortable. My husband had 3 pints of heinken was sick after it. I had 2 malibus and coke I was sick also. Very rushed check-in didn't create a very good first impression. The alleged leisure centre was awful with old fashioned school PE style pegs (and no lockers). The whole hotel felt dated and in need of modernisation; as such it lacked atmosphere. i was disappointed because igot no dinner even though it was advertised in the internet also no internet in my room even rte 1 was not working not a nice experience sean o87 1244553.
