Quaint old style of rooms and hotel generally, but clean and comfortable. However, the ensuite bathrooms, obviously added fairly recently, were spick and span, modern and functioned very well. Provided Gluten free dietary requirements - bread, cereal etc. Free car parking was available at rear. When we arrived our room was still be cleaned so thry took us to the bar and comped our drinks! The hotel itself is very nice lovely decor very comfortable beds and the staff were very friendly!! The breakfast was very nice too.

The girls in reception were all really lovely and a credit to the hotel.will definitely be back. we have stayed in the imperial hotel for the last four years and it is really an excellent place to stay and the welcome you get each time is lovely. we will continue to stay and we will tell our friends to stay as well. The location in the town centre was perfect for us and we stayed there to attend a wedding. The staff were brilliant and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent for breakfast and early bird dinner. The staff are the hotel's best asset. Very welcoming and accommodating. Food was great and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be going back to it next year myself. we found the hotel very friendly and always someone willing to help good food very clean and comfortable we would certainly return for another stay only if a room available on second floor. The staff at this hotel were so attentive and friendly. We ate in the bar area at evening time and the food was excellent. Breakfast was amazing. Every guest was treated like royalty!. Room 323. fi there is one thing maybe a lift would be a great comfort to older people but as regards ourselves all is well in that department at the moment. Nothing specific comes to mind!. Phone in my room didn't work. Had to ring them to remind them that I wanted breakfast in my room as the breakfast tag outside my room hadn't been taken by 6am when I checked. However, when I called down, they were extremely apologetic and rectified the matter at once. we were not aware no stair lift available found the stairs to the top floor quite a challenge especially my husband who has a heart complaint. Nothing. The hot water and shower in my room were very low in pressure. Took ages to get going. The bar and restaurant were lacking in atmosphere and the decor was dated. Perfect as a base but I would not spend the day lounging in the hotel. Third floor room a minor inconvenience; name badges for front desk staff would be helpful so that we could address them by their names. Nothing significant. Limited TV channels. Can't think of anything. No dislikes. old fashion or not, you should add an elevator!. The food presentation and quality was basic compared to other places but still ok. The car park was hard to get into and out off .. Had a people mover not big car friendly . nothing really this is an old building so no lift and hotel parking could be tricky for nervous drivers and large cars. Limited spaces in the car park. Absolutely nothing I loved it. Although the staff were very friendly, at breakfast I was asked what I wanted without even giving me a menu and there was no one at reception when I was checking out. Breakfast was only an additional €5 but the quality was only ok. I think this was down to the ingredients rather than the way they were prepared. Room in need of updating. The car park was a nightmare to get in and out. There was no elevator snd we were on the third floor. Parking area could be more level and with marking. no complaints. twin room for myself and a friend was quite small, not much room to move round. I found it difficult getting ready in the evening. nothing. Small Bed Lot of stairs Perhaps provide rear access from car-park. The noise out on the street at night time was loud. Car park very tight to get into it. Room too hot- no air con or a fan. Shower pipe broke and ran on tin roofs making a lot of noise so couldnt shower early morning before work as it would wake other quests. Room for three people too small. Dinner not Great. Car Park difficult to negotiate in/out. Breakfast started at 07.15 and would have appreciated an earlier start time. Rooms very small, bed very small, Bar lacked atmosphere, lighting too bright, closed very early.
