My stay at the Ibis in Belfast coincided with the shocking weather the city experienced on 22nd March 2013. This day was my checkout and seeing what was happening with the weather I asked the receptionist to hold my room which they could do until 6pm. I thought by then I would have an idea if flights from the City Airport.would be operating, as it... what people say » turned out it was until almost 8pm when we knew what was happening. They kept my reservation open for me to get back and check in for the extra night - hotel staff were very helpful , we had a young baby with us and they gave us a travel cot in the room for her . The hotel is very close to the centre of town with plenty of bars and restaurants close by . There's a bar restaurant across the road and the food was very good and reasonable and the staff were lovely .I'd have no hesitation in recommending the Ibis hotel , we stayed there before and will again .

The Malmaison makes a point of being different to your bog-standard corporate hotel and while some of the in-house copy comes across at times as just a tad self-conscious, the claim to being a breed apart is nevertheless justified: this is a well-designed, extremely comfortable boutique-style hotel with an excellent bistro, a very stylish bar and ... what people say » friendly, helpful staff. - It was my first time to stay with Malmaison Hotel.
