Difficulty getting into my room as the key card would not work and had to be replaced two times. The male waiter on Sunday morning breakfast was very supercilious. Said we couldn't have a pot of tea as they didn't give pots of tea at breakfast. However we had been given a pot of tea the previous morning by a very nice waitress - without question. He grudgingly gave in when I insisted. Also the duvets on the double bed were single duvets -one for each person. Not very sensible!. We stayed in a standard room and found it to be really stuffy-no aircirculating at all When we opened the window it made no difference andthe noise from the fans on the roof was quite loud too. leisure facilities not child friendly. Two single beds pushed together with two single duvets, although very comfy, i would of preferred a double bed.Heat in the rooms and hallways was unbareable even with window open and a fan on. Alcoholic drinks ridiculousy over priced.Overbearing heat in hotel corridors - poor/no air conditioning. No Cover/ awning in smokers area. Ventiation in bathroom not working, Shower spray unit holder broken. A resident staying in the next room lost is key in the middle of the night and couldn't get in after his night out. He got the help of a staff member, but it took ages to sort out. Meanwhile he was standing outside my room talking. He didn't mean any harm, but I had to get out of bed and ask the staff member to please get the resident to keep it down. So a bad night's sleep resulted.Restaurant overpriced, food very average and service poor. Some bathroom fittings needed repaired. restraunt got booked up to fast but however the bar food was good. The ice machine was not working on our floor.the mini bar was full butthe fridge was not working. The carpet in the room although clean, showed stains and the seating had cigarette burn damage which took from the overall standard of the room. Pillows and matresses a bit hard. Not clear how to regulate room temperature. Some items of furniture were in need of repair.The swimming pool changing room hairdrying facilities were poor. The heating was good in our room. There was a large stain on the bedroom floor and there were two single duvets on the double bed.Room service, The food was cold and of poor quality. Cold rooms and we were moved. No heating in rooms. Cold coffee in Bar, no scones after having coffee foe 20 minutes. Breakfast was dreadfull. Freezing cold. Will not be back, and any colleague who asked about our weekend was told by use to keep away from this hotel and go to the .................., where we were given an Irish welcome.
