Located a mile and a half from Galway City centre, these stylish, spacious apartments offer free parking. There is a regular bus route with direct access to the city centre, just opposite the hotel entrance. All apartments are decorated in light woods and dark fabrics, with a large living and dining area, which includes a TV, coffee table, and a dining table with 4 chairs. All towels and linen are also provided. The kitchen area is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, kettle, crockery, cutlery and utensils. A laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer is also provided for use nearby. Each bedroom includes a bathroom with a full bath and power shower. Rooms provide comfortable white duvets, towels and toiletries, a TV, and ironing facilities. The apartments are serviced once a week for stays over 5 nights only. Guests can enjoy use of the extensive hotel facilities adjacent, including Bar Solo and Ruebens Restaurant. Also the hotel has a full leisure centre with 20 metre pool, steam room, hot tub and extensive gym. The main shopping district is just a short walk from The Connacht Self Catering Apartments. Eyre Square and the Bold Art Gallery are 15 minutes away. Galway Airport is 4 miles from the Suites.

The two-bedroomed suite was really huge and very well equipped. Beds were large and comfortable, and all furniture was new and clean. Each bedroom had a tv, and there was a third in the lounge area - great for kids. The food in the hotel bar was excellent and staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel is not really walking distance to the city centre, but with a car it's only a few minutes drive.
all reviews » Our one bedroomed suite gave us much appreciated space and privacy, while still having the full use of the hotel facilities. Leisure centre was close at hand and facilities were excellent.The pool and Gym, the food in restuarnat was excellent. first class facilities and friendly staff. the amount of room. The privacy. The accessability to all the facilities, how close we were to the city centre. friendly staff, excellent room and location to Galway centre. Convenient central location. Very nicely fitted out. space in appartment, use of pool. staff in leisure center very nice.wery discreet and nice, love the pool and sun bed. The suite was roomy and with adequate privacy between bedrooms.Good size comfortable beds .Good Value, good locaation, suites are ideal for kids. the space and the clenliness of the room. very relaxed environment. how everything was so easy,the apartment was great and so was the pool .I will definatly be back hopefully with some sunshine. Nice quiet pace, perfect if you want to have your own privaci and greate lesure club next door. I thought the room and facilities were excellent.Set up, 2 bedroom apartment, access to taxis. the rooms were very comfortable and spacious. swimming pool is excellent and the food . Facilities were excellent - nice bar / restaurant, swimming pool, spacious rooms and sitting rooms. Freephone line to taxi's which was very useful as the Suites are a good 30 minute walk from the bars / shops.The location and ease of getting into Galway City. the childcare facilities. Location. At night the entrance to the suites and Leisure Centre was closed. Then it was a long walk from the car park at the suites, to the front of the hotel, and back through the hotel to the appartment. Also while the appartment was excellently equipped, a toaster would have been a great addition!. mugs were too small, no hooks to hang and dry towels. The suite was a bit cold on arrival. It would have added to the comfort if the heat had been switched on prior to our arrival. The weather was particularily frosty on that night.poor water and shower facilities.. yes called recption twice about toilet not flushing nothing done on either occasion.. two adults two young children stay five nights????????? one remote two tvs... couldn't get heating to work in living room nothing done????????? think some one should of shown us to our appartment not just given the key... while checking out found the girl at reception unfriendly was kind of coming and going. no real kitchen, just microwawe, after 9pm door to lesure club closed and was possible to enter only trough the hotel, and that is dificoult as is a littel labirint in there.. the shower was a problem not enough hot water coming into the room had to have a cool shower as there were 4 of us using the apartment. Cigarette marks on carpets and furniture caused by previous occupants.Borderline walking distance to town if fit and able and weather good . there was a problem with the hot water supply that seemed to be a recurring problem. The food wasnt to great and a few of the bar staff were miserable. no kitchen in the apartments, just microwave and fridge...big disipointing for me...Asked for bulb in hallway to be replaced - it wasn't during our 4 night stay. No towel changes as we were staying in apartment - I felt this was poor service. to get to our suite we had to get two lifts and walk a long way.We had a person with a wheelchair on our trip so this did not suit her. It took 45mins after ordering bar food to receive it.there was a rather horrid smell in the hotel on my 5 night stay! . We were disappointed that the suite was not serviced daily , only once a week which I don't think is the best .No clean towels daily and the bins weren't emptied , when you are self catering rubbish builds up , we had to take it out with us and dispose it because there was nowhere in the hotel to do it .Reception staff were poor and made a simple checking in / out process very difficult. Showers also were luke warm at times. staff were unfriendly and unsmiling on arrival. On arrival, (at 9.10pm, we were allocated a Premier Suite in the Annexeof the hotel. There was no hot food available and sandwiches could bepurchased for collection at reception. The suite was filthy, with anumber of broken fittings including the shower head in one of thebathrooms and the sink in the kitchen. There was inadequate waterpressure to flush the toilet. We changed suites. there was no assistance with bags considering the lenghty distance to walk to lift and again from lift to room. Poor quality of service following complaint.

Driving from Dublin (140 miles): - Take the N6 and the first exit road off the roundabout just before Kinnegad town. - Continue along the N6, and on approaching Oranmore at the first roundabout called ‘Oranbeg’, take the 3rd exit for Galway City. - At the next roundabout, ‘Carrowmoneach’, take the 2nd exit. - At the next, ‘Martin’, take the 1st exit (left) and continue through a set of traffic lights past Galway Crystal. - At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit past GMIT and continue through 2 sets of lights. - Carlton Suites Galway are located on your right within the complex of Carlton Hotel Galway. Driving from Galway Airport (6 km): - On exiting the airport, turn right and at the Crossroads turn right again until you approach the first roundabout 'Carrowmesh’. - Take the 3rd exit for Galway City. - On approaching the "Oranbeg" roundabout at Oranmore, follow the directions above.
