Excellent hotel. Gives more for the price. Everything is perfect and must stay recommended. The room and bedding was very comfortable. staff was helpfull, bus stop near by for city centre. It was very convenient as my dad had an appointment in Blackrock Clinic early in morning so its within walking distance. Can't really comment on the place as we arrived late & left in morning so we basically just wanted somewhere to put our heads down but it was great value for money & I would have no problem staying here again.

Very gentle!!!. It was right on the City Center bus routes with a nearby stop. Also, was walking distance to the RDS, where we went for a concert. The staff were all exceptionally nice and helpful. They didn't even seem to mind the door bell ringing at 11:30pm with our take away order.Room was very comfortable and the staff were very helpfull, breakfast was very good and the internet access is a big bonus. It was a very comfortable staff and would highly recommend the lodge. it was cheap, modern, the lady who worked there was very lovely.Good if you on a budget.location near the rds. friendly, helpful people, computer access. Nice old Victorian, reaonsably well located, price reasonable. The staff were more than helpfull. Its location was perfect for attending a concert at the RDS, and also for drinks in Donnybrook afterwards. And the hotel was within walking distance of both. It was perfect. staff were friendly. Situated next to bus stop, receptionist very nice.on bus route to town. The place is very cheap and not far from Donnybrook/Ballsbridge. Good bus route on the road outside the bandb.Nothing in particular. It was Close to destination. good size room, with fridge ,tv , cd radio hair dryer , iron and tea coffee facilities. Nothing. I choose this b&b because it was within walking distance of the University Campus. This is the only good thing I can say about this dirty and unfriendly place. I could say breakfast was average (no bacon) but for the price I don't think it was a big deal, you get what you pay for so can't really complain.I liked the lodge. It was very functional and they were very friendly. The only thing we encountered was there was mildew on the walls in the en suite bathroom (high up on the walls and ceiling out of reach), but other than that, all was nice and clean.The bathroom was very damp with black dampness patches all over the walls and ceiling. It cost me 30 euros in a taxi from the airport, almost the same price as the room! The was cold, the heating was on very low.Face clothes for washing were not provided. phone did not work. we thought the breakfasts were not up to standard. Staff was of mixed quality, some very helpful, others not well trained or well organized. My son's room had a dirty shower.the furnishings were not finished could have been re-painted etc but not a majour problem. I did not like the fact that I booked the hotel through your website at 12.20 Thursday night and by Friday afternoon when I tried to cancel this I was told that we had already been charged. However when the hotel receptionist gave me my receipt the time on the transaction was 16.48, which was after I had tried to cancel. I understand 48 hr can policy but thus was within 12 hrs of booking.the bathroom had a lot of dampness on the ceiling and clearly needs to be refurbished. Did not give a good impression. The website clearly said that we could check in by midnight when we turned up at half eleven, after calling to say our flight was delayed, it did seem to be a inconvenience for her, the she same to remind us what time we had to check out on the Tuesday at 10.30 and seemed to criticise us for wanting to have showers and we had to check out at 12! One and half hours away!. Mouldy bathroom. I was very disappointed in the bedroom, so old fashioned, dowdy with a very uncomfortable bed and mould on the ceiling in the en suite. The shower was tiny and mouldy. no upgrading has been done seemingly to the bedrooms since 2001. Disappointing. You will have noticed we decided not to stay on our last night as we would rather travel home early than spend another night there.room was cold. Breakfast was help yourself. I assumed that if it is advertised as a B&B then there is the option of, at the very least, proper tea/coffee and more likely a proper breakfast. As it was tea bags and milk were left out and there was a boiler - same as that available in my room. The room was dismal and television reception was very poor. No RTE1 despite RTE being across the road. I would not stay here again. . Mould in bathroom, bathroom too small, no towel hooks, toilet did not fill and flush properly, shaving light did not work, heating not adequate, room was cold, no soap holder in shower, only one chair in a double room. Breakfast and bigger hotel signboard next to the road side.Lamp, remote control, internet, hot wather,flush, nothing was working!. I rung at least ten times but noone came to help. minimal service - b'fast could be improved (no bacon, no marmalade) no hair dryer, had to ask for tea/milk for room. The breakfast was poor. There was plenty of food but none of it was nice. TV in the room had very poor reception with only four channels. Smell of cooking in the public area of hotel, furnishings poor and tired looking.it was very dirty. room and dining room cold, bathroom ceiling covered with black mould. bulb missing from ceiling lights. breakfast disappointing.The room we were given was disgraceful, it was dirty, unkempt, badlycared for. The curtains were hanging on only 3 curtain hooks, the netcurtains were filthy, the walls were only partly painted and weredifferent colours, the wiring in the room left a lot to be desired andlooked unsafe. The seating in the room was filthy, with paint splashedall over it, the window sill was filthy. Was not clean and no heating. Very poor standards.Advertised as a traditional Irish hotel although was run by people who could not speak English. The bathroom ceiling and walls were covered in mould and no hot water from the taps. The owner was not there but when spoken with on the phone was very rude and not prepared to negotiate a room change or refund on cost of room. The hotel was too far out of the city centre. Seemed to be more of a hostel. staff not polite, breakfast toast & coffee neven on time.The woman running this lodge clearly hated her job. After staying there for three nights in unusually hot weather. we wanted clean sheets. She argued with me that it was not our turn to have clean sheets. Finally she gave me a bottom sheet and told me to change it myself. Unbelievably rude. After that she scowled at me every time she passed me in the hall. The breakfast room was very pretty but almost always dirty. .
