  For the price the hotel was suitable. However the room was quite different from description at the time of booking - no bath and small room. I am nearly sure they also mentioned a kitchen area. I liked the location it was about a 15-20 walk from the very center of the city which I liked, it was in a trendy neighborhood and the walk was very enjoya... what people say » ble but again on the description it stated it was in the city center. Therefore a good location for young couples. However it was very clean and good - Stayed there for the second time. After visiting other hotels at a higher rate with less convenience, I found this hotel was quite a good one. If you reach there by train, take m2 and just one stop to Blaha Lujza ter. Walk along Jozsef korut towards Baross U. Take about 10 mins. If you reach by plane, take bus no. 200E from airport to the last stop. Then take the metro m3 to station Kalvin ter. About 7-min walk to reach the hotel.

  I can't recall staying in a better city centre hotel than this and all at a very reasonable price. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble for them. The conversion from a venerable old residence to a modern comfortable hotel has been carried out with style and panache. We will certainly try and book the Zichy when we visit Budapest again and would recommend it wholeheartedly to - We loved everything about the hotel.We upgraded our room and stayed in a wonderful junior suite on the fifth floor.It was quiet,clean,big and the bathroom had a walk in shower and a jacuzzi.Plenty of closet space and a great bed.The staff was polite and very helpful.They spoke excellent English.They booked restaurants,massages and ordered taxis.I would defenitely recommend this hotel to all my friends.We also liked its situation,district 8.we walked everywhere.Good job!!!

  Very clean, good quality interior, back rooms a little smaller than front ones but very quiet indeed. We could sleep with an open window.   The front desk staff were the friendliest we have encountered in Europe. Very helpful and knowledgeable about Budapest and Hungary. The room was very clean and everything was new. And ten minutes walk to the town. One of the best value hotels we have stayed at anywhere in Europe.   The room was nice and the staff was very friendly. Quite and comfortable point of departure for discovering the city. I enjoyed the Hungarian-style cooking at the restaurant. - The staff was great!
