For the price the hotel was suitable. However the room was quite different from description at the time of booking - no bath and small room. I am nearly sure they also mentioned a kitchen area. I liked the location it was about a 15-20 walk from the very center of the city which I liked, it was in a trendy neighborhood and the walk was very enjoyable but again on the description it stated it was in the city center. Therefore a good location for young couples. However it was very clean and good .
all reviews » Stayed there for the second time. After visiting other hotels at a higher rate with less convenience, I found this hotel was quite a good one. If you reach there by train, take m2 and just one stop to Blaha Lujza ter. Walk along Jozsef korut towards Baross U. Take about 10 mins. If you reach by plane, take bus no. 200E from airport to the last stop. Then take the metro m3 to station Kalvin ter. About 7-min walk to reach the hotel. As we arrived a bit early than the check in time we were given a room without any problem The guy at the reception was very helpful and very friendly and explained everything we were supposed to know in prefect English The room was welcoming and very clean with new furniture and bathroom. I will recommend this place to any of my friends and would go there myself again. THe receptionist was nice, he spoke good english. Very Helpful with offering parking details, and other usefull information. The rooms were clean and cosy. Great positioning, close to city center, and most tourist attractions. Parking was in the street (no safety issues) and in the weekend it's for free (small side street, so not very busy). Friendly staff which gave good advice regarding tourist attractions, means of transport, etc. The hotel is located on a secondary street so the area is very quiet, it has a nice interior garden and clean rooms. You can leave your luggage at the reception between checkout and departure, if needed. For 2 persons was good value for money. The staff was very helpful and recommended us a good restaurant nearby.The entrance in our room (which was in fact a very big apartment) was from an inside garden which is very cosy. Great accommodation for the price. Asked to change to a triple room for our return visit later in the week and this was done without any problems, we were actually given one of the apartments which is huge for 3 people for only an extra 10 euro. Breakfast juice was synthetic powder. The free WiFi didn't work in our room, but worked in the lobby and they had a pc there for use free of charge. They charge €5 for breakfast - you cab get much cheaper outside the hotel. The location is a lil bit embarrassed. Lil bit far from train station. 20min walk to te Duna river. Breakfast was 7-10 and we arrived at 9.45 one morning. The lady serving gave us 15 minutes to have something and then asked us to leave!. nothing. Heating wasn't working properly and rooms were cold (it was round zero outside). There was no hairdryer in a room, so washing hair is not possible. We didn't got any soap in the bathroom and kitchen wasn't properly cleaned. They charge extra for cleaning dishes, but it seems nobody checks if people really clean it - i.e. knives had food leftovers(!). We also did't get any sponge for washing dishes. Entrance to hotel: stairs to the entrance on the first floor were rather bleak and dilapidated - though once through the door into the hotel it was fine. Expensive parking due to the hotel's central location; The hotel can is a bit noisy, you can hear everything in the next room and in the patio, especially if you keep you window open, which you have to do as there is no air conditioning in the room. If you travel with pets be advised that there is not a park/green area close to the hotel. I didn't like the fact that it doesn't have a parking area, the fact that you can hear what the people say from the other room, in the double room the mattresses are separated. not enough parking spaces for the hotel guests. Small rooms, could not smoke on balcony, although it was outside. Nothing. Thin walls, you can hear what's going on in the next room. We didn't have good wifi connection in our room. - quite difficult to park in the area, even there are some private parking places nearby, but this is not hotel related - small room but good for a short stay. nothing!. Breakfast and personel during breakfast, lack of vegetables, very limited variety of products. Poor WiFi, could hear next door. Just one thing, the internet, they have limited access. The majority time no internet available in the room during busy hours. Unless go to the lobby. Breakfast was a little bit bad. Noisy street-level rooms. none.
