Hostel was a little quiet. Stayed in the 12 male dorm but only had 2 other guys there so the toilets were fine. If it were full it might be a big queue for the toilet as there is only one shower and one sink. Other than that atmosphere was great. Had a pool with lounge chairs and a bar with music playing every night. If only there were more people around. Location is great too. Not too far a walk away from the city centre.

The best thing about it was, it was very cheap, and only a short walk to the center and the bus stop. Its wasnt far out of Fira, short 5min walk. Pick up service. Walking to the city is a tiring walk up a slope. They never told me that they could pick me up (dorm room, 1 night) from the port. End up with take another bus to the hostel. Hard to find, a little misleading about name (known regionally as Santorini Camping rather than Santorini Youth Hostel). Not the nicest hostel I've ever stayed in, but I would recommend it if you're traveling in your own or on a budget in Santorini!. Breakfast was a bit dodgy, disliked that they took my passport on arrival and held it until we left even though room was paid for upfront. the wifi was very slow, if it was better i would have hung around the bar and eaten the food and for some reason the water in the shower was salty, how bizarre??. Shower room. it wasn't clean.. The tap water was salty which was weird.. Dorm rooms were not clean, breakfast selection was very limited. Smell from the toilet, there das no pool because it was not high season, they should say that beforehand. shower(quite salty...). I found the staff very rude at times. I was in a 6 person dorm, i was the person in the room which a good thing, as the room were very small. The beds were uncomfortable. When I checked in there was two girls checking out of my room. No one came to clean up there mess, it was very unpleasant. I would not stay here again. You get what you pay I guess. Shower and basin is salty water, their idea of cleaning the room is to empty the bins THATS all, on my second day, my other 3 dorm girls left, i was out for the day, thinking perfect, the floor and shower are filthy, it will be nice and clean, i came back later that night, and it was not cleaned, just the bins empty. I asked the reception for sight seeing advice, and the guy just told me to read the map. Not helpful not friendly at all. I asked him to keep my luggage when checking out, but he refused. He said that they only served their guests, so if I wanted their service, I needed to pay for one more night.
