We spent our honeymoon in Thira, Santorini. We stayed at Caldera Studios and had made the right choice while choosing a hotel. The location of the hotel is very convenient, almost the centre of the city. The Old Port where you can take a boat is a short way off. The bus stop is also near.The most beautiful cathedral of the capital is situated nearby. all reviews » The location and views is just an amazing WOW when you arrive. Kristos met us at the taxi and carried our bags down the steps. Kaula was fantastic, nothing was a problem, to ice for our gin, getting our laundry done, to breakfast on the balcony. Both always met us with a smile and hows your day, so helpful and informative, felt like we had stayed at a friends house! For fantastic location, superb service this hotel has it all. 15 / 10 !. the location is one the best in Fira, out of the window is the vocano and beautiful sea view. the hotel is just on the cliff. the hostess karlo is a very nice lady who upgrade me the biggest room with luxury view and room. and she arrage the stuff to pick me up at airport. i was very happy to stay at there .the price which i booked at Novmber is not very exprensive .there is also coffee and tea ,hot water in your room. Perfect location and great for the price. Stay next door for three or four times the price for the same view! Koula is the warmest host. She makes you feel at home from the minute you arrive and recommend the best restaurant for dinner. On arrival we were upgraded to the triple room with the biggest balcony instead of the one we booked. The jacuzzi was amazing and had the best view of sunset. The awesome panaramic view! The incredible coloured sunsets! Staff was extremely consciencious in providing airport pick-up and ferry departure transportation. The location of this hotel is perfect and the view of the caldera is breathtaking and it adds to the whole experience in Santorini. Wi-fi is flaky at times, but I ALWAYS got throught in the end. Lots of steps to get up to the town but that goes with living on a cliff face I guess. A bigger balcony would have been nice but some rooms did have that. a little painting smell in the room. Very basic facilities (jacuzzi pool) and wifi but not much else. Nothing!. Too many steps but that's true of all hotels. They could provide creamer along with coffee and sugar. Bathroom fittings and furniture could do with updating. It was all wonderful. The room and the bathroom is really small, and you will climb a long way to reach the main street from your room, it is really tired. No Pool, Old decor, Basic. Small but adequate room. Escadarias. WIFI speed is lower than the street cafe.... there are way more stairs than we thought. I read other reviews but didn't understand what they meant. the hotel sits a quarter of the way down the caldera so you have to walk down to it every time you go into town. we are young and spry and its still a lot! also we had ants in our room all the time. Stairs. no staff, was not picked up at ferry, hot tub not operating.
