The facilities were excellent - on a par with much more expensive and larger establishments. The service was so friendly it was like staying in a much smaller, famly run hotel - 10 out of 10. Good location. Very helpfull staff. Right next to Octoberfest grounds, and 1 block from Hacker Pschor Beer Garden (great food and beer). Central Munich is about a 20 minute walk, or 2 tube stops from the hotel.Staff was helpful. Good size room and bathroom. Clean and well furnished. Good breakfast. Friendly efficient staff. Not as close to the old town, it's a long walk, especially in February. But U-ban is close by.Having failed to reserve hotel parking local garage was expensive. I would prefer a sauna :). there was not anything i did not like / everything is o.k./ two suggestions:1) air condition (for hot summer days), 2) ventilation in the bathroom. Maybe more low-calorie choice for breakfast. -. It's a little bit too expensive for the overall quality.

By car:
From all motorways, take the Mittlerer Ring ring road. Exit the Ring at Donnersberger Brücke and continue towards the Zentrum (centre). Drive along the Landsbergerstrasse towards the city centre. Follow the right turn into the Martin-Greif-Strasse. At the traffic lights, continue straight ahead to the Theresienwiese. Turn into the 1st street on the right, the Gollierstrasse. After a few metres, you will see the Hotel Bavaria on the left-hand side.
By public transport:
From the Hauptbahnhof (main railway station), take U-Bahn (underground) lines U4 or U5 for Laimer Platz. Exit at the 1st stop, Theresienwiese. Leave the station via the Theresienwiese exit and walk along the Bavariaring towards the Bavaria Bräu brewery or the Verkehrsmuseum (traffic museum). Turn into the Gollierstrasse (when you see the Hotel Krone). After a few metres, you will see the Hotel Bavaria on the left-hand side.
