Lots of unexpected additional features - free tea and coffee 24 hours, use of hotel umbellas, extra pillows, use of free adaptors etc. They offer great breakfasts, nice rooms, convenient location, good prices and have a friendly staff. What else is needed? :). Close proximity to Train station and centre of town. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Very good for the price, and the staff is excellent. This location is easily within walking distance of the central train station. Close to train station. All at the reception where helpfull. A hearty breakfast was provided.. The Ambassador provided the basis for a very splendid city break and I would thoroughly recommend it. I've stayed in Best Western hotels before and knew what standard to expect, the staff are very obliging and the breakfast that the hotel provides gives customers a choice. This particular hotel was very close to the main train station which we all liked. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpfull. Being able to have a kettle and tray with tea-making facilities was ideal for my Mother in law. Hotel lacked tea coffee facility in rooms. There was a strong unpleasant smell near the shower sometimes. It was not there all the time. I brought it to the attention of staff who went up to the room with me. The ensuite area had just been cleaned and the smell was not there then. housekeeping personel, breakfast. No Air conditioning - had to open window and suffer noise from the street. Won't stop me staying there again though. dated decor throughout but in true german style, it has been kept amazingly clean.Very small rooms.

At motorway junction Breitscheider Kreuz change to mototrwaay A52 direction Düsseldorf to the end of the motorway, then straight on direction " Stadtmitte" (city center), trought Münsterstrasse, turn left into Eulerstrasse, straight on till Tonhallenstrasse, then turn left into Immernmannstrasse, straight on till the end. Turn right and at the second crossroad turn left into the Bismarkstrasse - you are opposit the main station now -. At the and of Bismarkstrasse you have to turn right. After 200m you will see the hotel on the left hand side in a sidestreet - Harkortstrasse.
