The apartment was great! We were a group of 9 girls in our late 20s & there was plenty of room for us all. Only 2 bathrooms so was hectic when all trying to shower but we made it work! There's a supermarket 3 blocks away or a small one opposite, & a taxi rank outside Checkpoint Charlie. Not really much to see at Checkpoint Charlie in my opinion but close to walk to other attractions & shops. Would def recommend staying there!.

Very spacious and comfortable, bedrooms downstairs gave us freedom to enjoy ourselves in lounge without worrying our footsteps would be making noise for neighbours. Balcony as well and a very quiet area, no problems sleeping at all. Would definitely stay again. Apartment was so cosy, clean and comfortable! Had everything we needed and the drinks in the fridge were a lovely touch. Had extra duvets and big fluffy pillows, beds were so comfortable! Would definitely stay here again. Location was perfect for us...and right next to Dominos, Starbucks, cafes, restaurants and Mac D's. The location is quite central, there's a Domino's pizza and Starbucks literally 2 mins from the flat's front door! There's a luggage room if you arrive too early and the kitchen is quite well equipped! 10 for cleanliness and for the little patio where we could sit around our table and enjoy the warm evening weather!. The location was very good. The apartment was better than we had expected. Nice living room with balcony. The staff was very friendly. They wanted to help us where to go and etc - which was nice - however one of us had visited Berlin many times before and we didn't need that kind of help this time. Location was right in the city. Parking garage was great for 15 euro per day and was very secure for being right in the city. 2 minute walk to Starbucks and train. Apartment was very clean inside. Staff was great and helpful. The decoraton is good, the appartment is situated in the centre of the city, 30 meters from the subway and 50 meters from West-East Berlin checkpoint. At the same time, very quiet which is unusual for centre. The best value for money I ever had! It is located near the metro station and there's a supermarket very close. That part of the city seem quiet and safe. The apartment offered all the furniture and equipments we need. Perfect located nearby Checkpoint Charlie, no problems with hot water. full equiped kitchen incl. dishwasher. No problems with TV or Wifi, Free an without problems parking in the street (Kochstrasse), for weekends,. The staff were extremely helpful and it was perfectly located, just 3 minutes ftom the Berlin Wall and museum. Also walking distance to brandenburg gate and all key places. We had 3 bedrooms all double between 6 huge lounge and kitchen. Staff excellent. Downtown location near the tourist sites, excellent size and fairly nice neighborhood. Parking on site was reasonable and secure. Bakeries nearby for breakfast... Not much more you can ask for. Right in the centre of Berlin but still in a quiet place. However, one night we walked 20 mins to a great restaurant area - really recommend Max und Moritz. Also on a Sunday be prepared that everything seems to be closed as we struggled to find somewhere for breakfast if you didn't want fast food!. The wifi signal was quite terrible. Particularly annoying when there appears to be a router in the flat but this is not the one we're given access to. Mirrors in bedroom would have been nice, as only one bathroom. Hot water fluctuated a bit sometimes in shower. No bowls in kitchen, not enough wine glasses/mugs for number of guests. No broom, so we were unable to keep floors clean ourselves. Wi-fi didn't work at all. Check-in procedure could have been explained more clearly. There was 6 of us travelling for work and there was only one key available for the flat which meant that we had to call and txt a lot between us in order to co-ordinate about returning to the flat! With roaming rates what they are this wasn't very easy!. The madrases were too soft. The apartment was for 5 - 7 persons. However there was - for example - glasses only for 4 persons. There could be a sign on the street to find the place. It was a bit difficult to find. Hot water took a very long time to come through. There were 4 of us and the 1st 2 people took cold showers and by the 3rd person the hot water kicked in. Was a bit noisy in the morning due to construction, but there is nothing that they could do differently about that. The kitchen could have been a bit better equipped. Finding the apartment is not so easy, as the office is hidden away. Better directions needed. We called the office and the lady came to find us. It was rather difficult to locate since it was right in the heart of the city and accessible only through a small alley way. Also, the grounds needed to be spruced up and cleaned. When we saw the exterior, we were worried. However, a messy exterior hided a wonderful interior. We had to look for the person in charge for about 0,5 hour. The tel. Nr. written on the gate didn't answer. Had to catch the people going by inside of the gate/. We had to call t find out the entry of the office when we arrived. It is not easy to find. Not a thing. Neighbors were a little loud (or walls were thin) late at night. Minor maintenance issue with radiator caused some concern. The apartments and it's decor is a bit 70ti looking and not particular cosy - on the other hand there is what you need and everything works. Poor provision of cooking implements - we topped up at Euro store nearby. Dodgy hot water supply but manageable. - The upstairs bathroom wasn't as clean as we would have liked. We reached there at around 11.30 am and they said we cannot check in yet. But can leave our bags there . Than they said if we wan to check in can - pay 30 euro ! ( for which we didn't ). Bring your own shampoo. You may be asked for cash instead of credit card. wifi was not stable; heating was not working for one night, however, this was quickly fixed. One of the flat has really low wifi connexion. Hot shower was not easy to get :). Just v minor issues - but there was insufficient wardrobe space and insufficient bowls but I'm scratching around to find things we didn't like. The showers experienced fluctuating heat so it was sometimes frustrating to get a constant flow of hot water. Everything else was great. Normal city noise at night. Sometimes in the middle of the night, car noises were so obvious from the street facing the unit. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable, so 2 of our group members did not have a good sleep. Our company of 8 people stayed for 4 nights & there was no cleaning, toilette paper & towels run out very quickly. Also one shower+toilette is not quite enough for such amount of guest & after two washes the bath reminded a pool. No elevator and a building needing repares in the common part. Poor wifi. They found the low beds a bit difficult to get out of. Quite difficult to find. Looks like a drab block of flats from outside. There was a ton of noice in the early morning due to the business next door. Apparently they felt that it was neccessary to empty all of their trash cans at 6:00 A.M. every morning. The owner/manager of Town Apartments Checkpoint was doing everything possible to eliminate this problem. The personal of the reception left the office without any reason when we came back to take the luggage. We have waited the guy for about 45 minutes and we risked losing the flight. The bins got taken out at 5 o'clock every morning and it was very load. Flat sleeps 9 people but the dining table seats 6. Coffee machine is terrible Not all the curtains fit the windows/fell off (these are minor things and the flat is very cheap so I didn't mind). Blankets are very thin and simple... Otherwise, everything is good. nothing they where great. Kitchen smelt of cooking from previous occupiers. Inefficiently soundproofing. Easy to hear people walking outside the apartment and neighbours. Internet connection was average - somewhat slow. No place to leave the car while checking in Missing one single bed Missing hooks for coats downstairs , problem with lock in the door.
