Absolutely excellent hotel, which is definitely on 5 stars level, helpful staff, ideally clean and nice designed rooms. Generally, the hotel was much better than expected to be. If I'll be again in Berlin, I'd stay there again and highly recommend this hotel for others. The only weak point is the "arty-farty" restaurant with very short menu and the food is not specially tasty and definitely overpriced. But this is not big problem, because there are a lot of excellent restaurants for any taste.

Closest metro stop is Hausvoigtel which is on a great line and can take you (without changing lines) to the Zoo or Ku-damm (shopping area). Wifi is free, stable, and reasonably fast. Hotel rooms are very well appointed and smart. Some great dining options closeby like Chipps for breakfast. All in all would stay again - really a nice hotel. Convenient location: very close to the East centre of Berlin, 5 min from U-bahn, 5 min from Unter den Linden. Clean, stylish (though a bit pale with dominating grey) room, comfortable beds. A/c, safe, mini-bar, soundproof windows, a rocking chair. Tasty and varied breakfast Good value for the money I paid (I had a pre-paid offer). The hotel was close to many land marks and sight seeing places. It was pretty unique in a good way. I liked the beds, the shower that was unique too and you had your own cooking area. The staff was helpful and professional. We didn't experience the sauna or spa that they had but I'm pretty sure it is nice as well. The hotel was close to all the places to visit. Potsdamerplatz was 5 min by car or 2 stops away by metro. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and very quite. The internet is for free which is great. We had a reservation for 2 adults and then they noticed we have a small boy with us, so when we finally went to our room, they had an extra blanket, towels etc. And the best part were the apples all over the hotel - sweetest apples we had ever eaten!!!. Location was fabulous, near shopping and most major tourist attractions. The rooms were a great size, and well presented, very clean and huge shower. The linen feels a bit synthetic, the shower needs to have a door or a curtain. Overall it was a pretty cool hotel, but had an expensive breakfast buffet that is why we ate around the corner in a great breakfast place. Absolutely nothing. Gym was very basic. The breakfast regime was a little rigid, you could eat a 'continental ' breakfast in the bar area, and only a 'full' breakfast in the restaurant, and no alternatives were allowed..but that is only a minor irritation. Due to construction in the neighborhood, the tram stop in front of the hotel was not in use. The u2 Hausevoltierplatz was the nearest public transportation - a 4 to 5 minutes walk. The closest supermarket (for water bottles and fruits) is at least 10 minutes walk. we had dinner in the foreign affairs restaurant. it really wasn't to our taste and quite pricey. Nothing. Both of the two soap dispensers in the bathroom worked poorly: the plastic containers were too hard, or thick, so that it was nearly impossible to squeeze it with one hand. No slippers at such a nice hotel? Had to ask for a bath robe and kettle. - Wifi conection too complicated and demanding reconection all the time - The nearest parking was rather far from the hotel - Rather poor selection of TV channels for a 4 stars hotel. Nothing. The mini bar was poorly stocked. breakfast overpriced no pool no tea making facilities in the room. The air con blew down direct on the beds. The only drawback is that it is not close to shopping area. It's a quiet place. You don't have much to do at night. The DVD player in the room was not looking. Nothing. The cost of normal breakfast 24 € is too high (even if it is possible to have a limited, small continental breakfast at 7,50 € each). Room space (large by European standards) is wasted by poorly planed furniture. cant think of anything that the hotel could do better. I couldn't figure out why the room would not warm up even when I turned the heat up, then I realized someone who was there before me had left the window cracked open. I think this should be something housekeeping should check when new guests are arriving especially when it is as cold as it was in Berlin when I was there. No kettle in room, had to phone for one. The wi-fi, although free, is bad. You'll have to pay for a better one... nothing. The 'big' breakfast too expensive. Nothing. To park the car, there is a private parking close to the hotel but ...very expensive... 20 €/day. Nothing. The hotel could have had more information on the tourist attractions around it and which ones they would recommend. We had a junior suite and felt that the bathroom was too small. A separate toilet would have been the solution. Otherwise perfect!. lack of cafes, small businesses like bakeries in the close by area. The service in the bar was bewilderingly inadequate.
