I loved the staff, they were very friendly and helpful, they speak many languages. The subway is very very close and the area is nice. Could not get a better location as 2 train stations and so many great restaurants were within walking distance.cleanliness and convenieance to trains. Good location, good facilities. It is a terrific hotel located across from the Gare de l'Est. Compared to others in the area where we have stayed, the Hotel Francais is certainly superior.

Room was not ready as we asked for it in the booking as it was surpose to be a option. The two person room was small on the first day. breakfast was not included and was pricey at 8 50 euro each. Don't sleep in a room at the front, lots of noise at night fromthe streets and in the morning, you hear and feel the trains every5-10 minutes.Room was very small, room cleaning was during breakfast time and when we came back from breakfast we had to wait till cleaner finishes. It is a noisy hotel by underground metro and surface traffic. Room is small and interior is old.Upon our arrival we were told that only One superior room was availablewhen Three had been confirmed as booked! Our group were given 2 standardrooms which were very poor in comfort and space. The hotel blamedletsbookhotel.com for this shortfall so I shall be contacting letsbookhotel.com overthis matter. This really was not acceptable.
