The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We ended up getting one of the newly renovated rooms which was gorgeous. It was also the only room with a balcony overlooking Place Massena! It was perfect to listen to the Jazz fest that was going on across the street. Also the hotel was in a perfect location, a 5 minute walk to the beach, 10 minute walk to the train station and on the border of Olde Town. Great stay!.
all reviews » we stayed in an non refurbished room (rooms 9 and up have been refurbished), so the bathroom was a bit old and small, but had everything you needed. staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly. fantastic location one street back from the promenade and beach, and no steet noise at all at the back of the building. Excellent location ! Its not sea view, but great central location. Price was good for the location but rooms were small but clean. Overall quite satisfied and will book again when I come here. Great location in Nice, France. There was only one person on reception desk. And often they weren't there. There's no elevator so it can be difficult getting up the stairs with suitcases. The pictures in website are completely misrepresentative of this hotel. No table and chair. No full length mirror. Identifying hotel as the entrance is very poorly signed. The letters H O T E L in the upstairs window don't help at all as they are not visible from street level. You think you have entered a private apartment block not an hotel Bad access to small reception area via stone staircase - difficult with luggage and for old/infirm. Very poor first impression. Very tired/shabby bathroom. Breakfast in reception. They gave me the crapiest room - the manager said it was just my luck. At 7:30 one morning I thought the hotel was being demolished. Next door they were doing renos. Could have had a better room but like he said it was just my luck. it was cold and small and so uncomfortable. No lobby to speak of. Could barely find the place. Also, on the second night of our stay, my daughter found a pair of men's underwear under her pillow. It did not belong to our family. No one available before 7 or after 9pm. I.
