The owner and staff were particularly friendly, kind and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay there. The hotel was very centrally located in the old town near restaurants and all places of interest and room was quite large, particularly by French standards. The wifi was good, there was a terrace to see out to the beach and Promenade des Anglais, and books were provided in the lobby for you to read, there was a lift and security was very good. It was a very home-like place to stay.

The hotel is placed in the old apartment building located very close to beach (on the 3rd floor) but our room was nicely newly renovated. Positive is also refrigerator on the room. We had room with side view - not so nice view but there is very large shared terrace with view over the promenade and sea where we enjoyed dinner every day. There is a flower market everyday with lots of restaurants and castle hill,a short hike to see the aerial view of Nice is within walking distance.We saw fireworks from the hotel's balcony on Bastille day!. Cleanliness. Everything. The hotel is run by a really friendly mother and daughter and is ideally situated in the old town. It also has an outdoo seating area with marvellous views over the beach. The rooms are clean but are really outdated and the air con didn't work in our room. The bathroom was really small and a little dangerous as it had a step into the bathroom and a further step onto the toilet which could be dangerous for little ones or at night. Very small shower space. If you are a light sleeper,try avoiding room no 6 because it is facing the street and will be noisy past midnight. Don´t let the entrance scare you. The building is almost 300 years old and the worn staircase is part of the charm. We were in a room at the side of the building and it was quiet noisy with the window open early in the morning with the bin men cleaning nearby restaurants. Not major though. Wasn't much of a view from our balcony, also rate was quite high for the standard of the hotel which was quite dated. The building is old, hotel is just the third floor with a small elevator for access. Did not like the shower, was too small. We had a little difficulty figuring out how to get into the hotel. It is located on the third floor of an apartment buildiing. This is an old building in the old part of town, so the paint is peeling off the walls in the entrance way... not in our room. A little old. The hotel was under much needed renovation and our room was still very outdated. A bit on the small on size but all worked perfectly. Decoration. WIFI worked only sometimes, quite bad, artificial smell in room, terrace not neat and inviting. Our first room had nowhere to place clothes, an opening in the wall with a few wire hangers for clothes. Beds very small, not good lighting. Towels etc. very thin. Not much in the way of soap , and other necessities. We changed from this room to one which was better. Doubt I or my sister would recommend, even though the location was fabulous. A bit hard to find as it's on the third floor of an apartment block. The hotel is a bit 'tired' so don't expect smart, luxury, but it was perfectly nice and the owner/staff very friendly. very expansive parking. Outdated room with very small bathroom. We moved out after 1 night and spent our 2 night elsewhere. Ridiculously small bathroom and especially the shower cubicle. The bed was old and very soft. Nothing special. Noisy, No security, No food, Small bath, bad localization, bad staff.
