Perfect location! Close to Kobenhavn Centraal, Tivoli, Hard Rock Cafe, City Hall, & the beginning of the famous "Stroget" pedestrian street with all the shopping anyone could ask for... Breakfast buffet included farm fresh products like very tasty bacon & especially enjoyed the straight from the farm yogurts in individual servings in canning jars! Complimentary Carlsberg beer included with the free minibar - outstanding!!!.
all reviews » We got a Deluxe room in the fifth floor with a view over the roofs and directly to the clock of the Town Hall - spacious, clean and comfortable and quiet. Well, it was a bit more expensive than the standard double rooms, but it was absolutely worth it. The hotel is just a block away from Strøget and a short walk to the railwaystation - great location. The restaurant downstairs by the lobby "The Italian" offers really tasty food. It was just perfect. The boutique hotel has an old feel to it. Which is just what I wanted in Copenhagen. It is close to everything in town and all the main attractions. The staff is very attentive and caring always smiling and greeting. The rooms are charming; While not ultra-luxurious they give a feel of belle époque residence. I would very highly recommend this hotel in Copenhagen. room was fine, very clean, with a really comfortable bed, but, make sure you take the plastic mattress protector off from under the top sheet or you will cook! the room is very warm, but the radiators are easily turned off if its to warm as it was for us.also, there is a great coffee machine straight ahead as you come into the hotel through the main doors. staff are great... An excellent hotel, ideally located at the heart of Copenhagen, next to the shopping area of Strøget, 100m from the city hall and 300m from Tivoli. Friendly and most helpful staff, interesting design, nice and clean rooms, excellent breakfast. Free and fast WiFi. Extraordinary: instead of ripping of guests for a drink, drinks form the minibar are free!. The different corners in the hotel, the breakfast bar, the coffee corner and bike arrangement. Next time I ever come back to CHP I will certainly come back to this hotel. and I will try out the restaurant (I found out to late, otherwise I would have tried this out) and I would also love to rent one of the bikes. Friendly and helpful staff and a sense of calm and history. My room was a delight, and the bed very comfortable. The restaurant 'The Italian' attached to the hotel served wonderfully cooked food of real quality. Breakfasts were excellent too, and they had gluten free bread to hand. We were asked if we would like a room with street view or backyard. we choosed backyard, and got a great room wich were quiet. I guess the rooms with street view was a bit noisy. So, thanks for asking :-). Old world charm in about the most central location of Copenhagen - without being noisy. The buffet breakfast was excellent - but not what you would call typically Danish. Really a great hotel. The beds were so comfortable and the mini bar in the room was free. There is a restaurant downstairs and they will deliver to the rooms. Location was excellent. 2 blocks from Tivoli gardens and one block from the Stroget, two blocks from train station. Staff was very accomodating and friendly. The included breakfast was very nice.The free ( yes free) minibar was excellent. It included beer, water fruit juices and a little chocolate. Location, for sure! Although this hotel is apparently historical & has lots of character & it is obvious that they have gone to great lengths to improve/update the rooms - had a difficult time sleeping because the room was quite warm... There was no air-conditioning & the small fan was broken & the window only opened to an enclosed courtyard - so no fresh air! May not be a problem any time of the year except midsummer... The breakfast was too expensive - 135 kr. Per person, so we chose not to have it. But there is a Seven Eleven just a block away where one can buy decent coffee and fresh croissants and enjoy them in the room. It could get a bit warm; just open the window and you are fine. It's not cheap but Denmark nowhere is. Rooms are hot. They do provide ventilators, but since there is no air conditioning you have to leave your window open, and especially at the atrium side there is a lot of noise from (drunk?) guests talking and cheering in other rooms at night. If only they could resolve this problem, I would strongly recommend the hotel. I found the bathroom a bit small and not in the same line (athmosphere) as the rest of the hotel. Perhaps a little too much dark panelling downstairs!. Not much, although I missed a bar on location - but the minibar was "stacked" with a couple of free beers - daily. The bath tub is very high and can be difficult to get in and out of if you are short or have mobility problems. The rooms were very warm when we arrived, but we were fine with the windows open and the fans the hotel provides. We were even able to close the windows to sleep. The room were very comfortable but so hot. Too expensive for a room without outside windows and air conditioning. But, afterall, a very nice place to stay. Not very comfortable location of bathroom and wardrobe in the room (in front of the bed). This was my 2nd stay here and I was disappointed in the way the hotel has lost its old world elegance to dinginess. Lots of noise from the courtyard gave me 2 sleepless nights. I forwent hotel breakfast as it was overpriced. Water from bathroom sink bubbled onto floor. Disappointing for price. bed a bit hard. cleaniliness of the room / bathroom. first night spent in a room facing the atrium..it was unbelievably hot. We would have liked being able to control the room temperature. - The room for a single person was a little too small, also the bed was a little small. No aircon Stuffy. no air conditioning. We had dinner at the restaurant one day, and it could be better and also have more options at the menu. Slow elevator Expensive parking. no air conditioning during hot weekend. The bar isnt really a bar, its not open as often as you would expect also. Difficult to take a shower without getting water on the floor. No coffee tea making facilities in room. Hotel was very warm, which meant we had to open the windows and that meant a lot of road/street noise. Found nothing negative. The organization of the breakfast wasn't soo good. The staff were more interested in our room number than clear up the dirty table. Small rooms Street noise. Bathroom was in need of refurbishment and requires better cleaning. The cost of breakfast, which was not included, was extremely expensive. Have had better breakfasts for the price. Bed was a little narrow. Small room without bashdress and lack of towels. just have to watch the night club across the road can be a bit noisy. nothing. The many doors to get to room. Brakefast.
