The hotel location was excellent for sightseeing. The staff were very professional and upon check in gave all sorts of information not only about the hotel but about the city as well. I have never used the Best Western chain in Europe before but I certainly will in future. Cleanliness of the room, nice and helpfull reception staff. Close to the center of the town, trams and turistic attractions. Very good breackfast buffet.

We were facing the main road, and it was quite noisey, but with the windows closed it was quite, and very comfortable.our room was too far away from the reception. and there were some stairs on the way to the room ( no elevator or disabled access to those stairs). room carpet was quite stained. they could do with a larger breakfast room. Uncomfortable mattress. breakfast. too poor. air conditioning. For some reason, the hotel was playing loud and annoying music during breakfast. Very limited parking, which was difficult to access. Every time weneeded to go to the car for items, we had to go through the bellman. Thegarage security was excellent, and you could not leave without the staffopening the garage, so not sure why the additional difficulty to accessour car was necessary.....Also, they only had space for about 7 cars,which were all double parked.the fact that we had to pay for the gym was not really acceptable. no lobby, scary neighbourhood. You listed as 4 star. No.it is not even 3 star. The lobby is no good. The entrance carpet all worn out. No resataurant. Only a Bar. The hotel staffs (reception and restran) aren`t good.Sinister looking lobby, poorly lit room, minimal comfort - too expensive for what you get there.

First references to this hotel come from the year 1307. This house was called „White Lion” and was known as a retreat for travellers, who came to city in the late evenings hours without the possibility to enter the city through the city gate (The Powder Gate), as this gate used to be closed every day at dusk.
