Location! Right by the old city. a very good ratio price/quality. Friendly staff. Also, I arrived at the annex, where there were no staff, or sign indicating where that it was an annex, so it appeared the hotel had closed down.Had problem with payment - although they had confirmation email of €113 +€2 tax, they initially refused payment in Euro, and wanted to change it to Kuna at their exchange rate and charge a lot more! (I think this was more due to their computer system than difficult staff). outdated bedroom furniture,poor maintenance,no ceiling fans or coffee/tea tray(international standards!). We were looking forward to our superior airconditioned room with a seaview. Instead we got a twin room looking at a dirt bank and noairconditioning. The building was seedy. No lift. But, we did get theprice reduced and the breakfast was good. no air conditioning system. they have different types of rooms with a small difference in price but a large difference in conditions of the rooms. I was quoted 78 euro by letsbookhotel.com but the hotel charged me 83euro when I paid with cash, I told them they could not charge me more than what I was quoted but they insisted that Kuna was the only legal currency in Croatia and that my quote of 78euro was only an approximation of the room charge, this made no sense to me ( a very seasoned traveller ) and I was infuriated but paid to receive our p/p. It looked like a 1970's office block inside and out, at least it was clean. Personel were not polite at all. Breakfast was very poor. Noelevator. No a/C.I dindn't like several important aspects. The hotel didn't respect the reservation we made long time before through your site. The hotel increased the room price on site with no convincing explanation. They didn't fix the air conditioned even after 3 complains of ours. They tried to cheat me ... by not giving me the rooms I made reservations for (they tried to give me two rooms that needed a lot of repairs - badly, and also that didn't have air conditioning in a building next to the hotel with conditions under a star, this building was probably going to be renovated but they tried to include it in the turistic circuit as it was - rubbish. no tv, no air condition in the room. The furniture is poor. Who reclaimed, (wanted to move to another hotel because of the low quality of rooms) got better room for the same price. Our bed was broken, collapsed on the floor as soon as I sat on it. The hotel staff did not do anything to help out, nonetheless, the charged us the full amount. Never found such a lack of professionalist anywhere around the world. I found it disgraceful.the staff were not helpful my room was totally stuffed up and they never tryed to help. never even said sorry. Our room was in another building next to the main one. Room was poor andnot clean, the apperance and the furniture of the building was poor.I was extremly dissapointed with the room. We requested a Double room which should include atleast a Double bed. Not 2 single beds "pushed" together. After requesting to change with Reception I was told to not even complain. Customer Service was appaling. The value paid for the room was equivalent to a 4star hotel in Ireland, yet no facilities at all.
