The hotel is well situated near the Berri/UQAM subway station. My room was indeed spacious and comfortable, but also very quiet, even though it faced the street. I would definitely recommend this hotel, as it does offer good value at a modest cost. Convenient location for a weekend getaway. Took the Airbus 747 ($9.00) from the airport, drop off practically two blocks from the hotel......sweet!.

The location. The breakfast at this hotel was disappointing. First off, there is only a limited selection of cold breakfast food available, like cereal, croissants, muffins and some fruit. Guests could also make waffles. A negative feature of the breakfast experience was the use of disposable styrofoam plates and paper cups in a 3-star hotel. Continental breakfast slightly bland but enough carbs to get you going in the morning. Will stay there again....plenty eateries nearby. The smell when you first walk in was weird. And the breakfast was mediocre. But it depends what you need in a hotel. The restaurant was under renovation when we arrived, so breakfast wasn't in the best environment but staff was helpful and friendly. We didn't like continental breakfast. Breakfast too simple. breakfast did not offer healthy options. Shower pressure was weak. Nothing. I didnt like the noisy frat kids staying there. the choice of items of breakfast is so limited. General maintenance of facility could be somewhat improved. Breakfast is poor. breakfast. the bathroom shower had mold growing on the shower, and we had to ask them to do an extra cleaning, we had to pay 17.00 per day for parking ( you had to pay for parking everywhere up there), 1 ice machine for the whole hotel,. Hotel is somewhat rundown, especially elevator and hallways. Also, many additional taxes were added to the bill that was not mentioned (I reserved for CAD 75 and end bill was CAD 89 per night). Mice in breakfast area,. I read before booking my stay that the parking was 17 a day. When we got there we were told that it was 25 because of renovations that were being done in the parking lot... didnt think this was a reasonable justification for the sudden increase... No safety box No Fridge Faulty Room Lock. I have never payed so much for such a simple hotel ($460,00). The price was outrageous and we arrived at the hotel,instead of two double beds they reserved us on bed and one pull out couch. The front desk man Jason was very rude and not suited for the job. Fortunatelly, Keila (maybe the name is not correct) was very nice and could manage to arrange the proper room for us. Hot room with no opening windows (level 6) Breakfast was very simple but but crockery and cutlery was plastic or polystyrene which made it feel like a cheap experience. We sighted a mouse on the final day in the dining area. Some people, especially solo woman could feel unsafe in this neighbourhood at night. Staff not particularly friendly Continental breakfast limited only one chair in the room. It will be your lucky hour when WIFI works. The dtaff are unfriendly and don't really care. Breakfast is poor. Breakfast was not at all what we expected No bar No refrigerator in the room Bad shower Noicy fan. The Parking was bad Not enough room. parking was hazardous & should be free to guests.!. It is unclean hotel with a bad smell all over the hotel. I couldn't use the room and shifted to Travelodge hotel that was much better and very clean.
