This is the second time I've stayed here and I've no complaints whatsoever. OK the rooms are a bit scruffy but are perfectly clean. Staff are friendly and helpful and breakfast, though simple, is well worth getting up for. The small bar is characterful with a local trade and relatively cheap drinks and stays open as late as you want. The location is good too, being pretty central and not too far from the railway station. For value for money this suited me perfectly.
all reviews » rooms were v good we had two rooms and they were next to each other the only ones on the floor. The rooms were clean basic but just what we wanted for a two night stay. Had read some bad reviews but these did not aply yo our stay. We were greeted in a friendly manner and everything about the hotel was explained to us. The staff were very attentive through out our stay. The location was excellent for the beach and the shopping. Would certainly stay here again . Simple and unpretentious hotel with relatively basic accommodation and in-room facilities. But that's exactly what I expected for the price. Breakfast was excellent and being on a budget with no time pressure I enjoyed it lesiurely. Pleasantly buzzy bar on the ground floor was a plus too. friendly staff, warm welcome, sillent and clean room, place to leave the bags on the leaving day, breakfast ok with friendly and available staff , clean, lots of fruits to choose, nice bread. position: just in the center of the city and near the sea; comfortable and clean room; good price; working lift; all stuff working in the room (light, shower, etc.). The staff went out of their way to be helpful. A low cost budget hotel, basic but very clean bathrooms and lovely breakfast. I passed it when I first walked past despite the fact that it is correctly placed on the map.radio playing a little loudly, a little more choice in cheese would be nice, it is a small breakfast room but ok, everything available. no plug near the bed. carpets a little tired,. no English channels on tv. no problems. letsbookhotel.com suggested check-in by 18.00 but guy on front desk said check-in never closes. Very misleading on letsbookhotel.com's part. Payment on arrival . When booking a double room , there was 2 single beds not a double. Decor in need of a refresh. No parking because of proximity to town / seafront although there is little the hotel could do but advice on free parking about 1.5km away from staff was useful. Cold showers on last morning, we had to wait an hour before we could have a hot one!. The room was a bit pokey. small lift. Decor was looking rather tired; the lift belongs in a museum!. no wifi in rooms wifi in pub and reception area weak. our room was above the reception and the music kept us awake, other romms where ok. No parking so expensive to park close to hotel. Lack of parking No uk tv channels despite bbc 1 and 2 normally being available in Belgium. No english tv channel, breakfast tables.not set up. Staff not particularly welcoming. room was in a terrible state. The toilet acually leaked over the whole bathroom floor. Shower was disgusting felt like I needed another shower after using. Breakfast was very bland.No one on hand to help with coffee machine. Less than 10 cable channels. Bathroom. Very lumpy beds. Elevator failed. The desk clerk is also the bartender and sometimes the chef. nothing was good, the entrance was dark, the corridors and the acces to the rooms and the rooms itself were very tights and not clean. the rooms are not as the pictures they showed on their link. the entire hotel has to be refreshed. No clean glass/cup/plate upon breakfast!! the food and the drinks didn't taste good neither!. We were given an occupied room which has a suspicious bag. After going down stairs and explaining this to Richie he gave us another room that he had checked and deemed clean. The room still seemed unkept and the shower was questionable with a hole on the floor that act as a drainage. very poor breakfast, ugly breakfast Room, not clean, not comfortable, dark rooms.
