The bedroom was clean,well presented and comfortable. All staff were very efficient and obliging. The breakfasts were of a high quality with a good selection of food presented in comfortable and excellent surroundings. We have visited this hotel on several occasions and have always experienced a lovely holiday because of the hotel standards. We hope to stay there again next year. Sand, Sea and easy train access to Brugge, Gent and Brussels. Also thesecure hotel parking was good.

The harbour and the beach are very close to the hotel. i like that.locality very central. swimming pool breakfast was very good (very various) even fresh fruit , fruit salad and yogurt müsli (spent a month ago a few days in ostende hotel round the corner and that had been the horriblest breakfast for 3 stars I ever have taken) time journey to the 80s (furniture breakfast room). Outstandng choice of malt whiskies in the bar. central location. helpful staff. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Large bed. ease of access for central location. We had a superior room and our daughter had a double the only difference was a fridge and her room was larger, very small rooms.Town centre and facilities all very accesible. Clean room, reasonable price, good location.Breakfast selection was good. An in house evening dining facility wouldhave been good. I only noted there was a hotel bar on the final day.the matrace of the (normal bed and the sleeping sofa for the kids was very inconvenient and slept through/ too old I think ) should be seriously changed the main thing we expext from a hotel room is to sleep well, but this couldn´t be possible ...just because of the matraces stairs to the rooms without windows . Very noisy lift just outside the room.garaging car is not convenient for access. hot water was cold in mornings. the annexe wing was for budget rooms but not the budget price. Rooms very small. No coffee making facility in the room. Walls paperthin. Very noisy in the evening from restaurant across the street. The quality of the "extensive breakfast buffet" was not high. The bread rolls were not very nice. The boiled eggs tasted old and the shells were very thin. (I suspect they were battery eggs.) While not unfriendly, the hotel staff was rather indifferent - not particularly attentive or friendly.The rooms were not as described. Superior room was tiny and no different to a standard room. Overpriced. My room was booked as a double and it had 2 single beds pushed together.The floor was vynil covered all areas and I would have expected carpetin the main area. The room was very basic and was nothing like thepictures shown on the web pages.The staff here are friendly and helpful. Reception looks nice; pityabout the rooms. Room was tiny, not very clean, had linoleum on thefloor and a patio/garden style table and chair as the only furnitureapart from the small bed. There was noise day and night from outside,the sink was cracked and had no plug. All acceptable at a cheap hotelbut this one isn't cheap. Should not have 3*** rating.

By Public Transport:
- Take a taxi from the railway station to the hotel.

By Car (from Brussels E40):
- Follow the Brussels-Ghent-Bruges-Ostend motorway.
- At the end of the motorway you will come to a roundabout; follow the signs to the centre.
- Past the 1st set of traffic lights, follow the road until you arrive at another roundabout, turn right and following the signs to the centre (on your right, you will pass the Three Master Mercator).
- Keep following this road.
- After the 3rd set of traffic lights you will see the Casino Kursaal Oostende; turn right to the Van Iseghemlaan (on the right corner, there is a tourist office).
- Drive straight on to the top of the Albert I Promenade.
- Turn right.
- Turn down the Hofstraat (the 1st road on your right).
- Golden Tulip Bero Oostende is at the end of the street on the left hand side.
