Friendly staff and a very reasonable breakfast. The room was clean and although the view was bad, I would say it was excellent value for money. Bar prices were reasonable. I booked this hotel due to the price, £63 for a twin room for 2 nights. Couldn't believe the price. Was totally amazed. Excellent hotel, cleanliness, location etc.The room was always kept very clean. The breakfast was varied and verygood. The receptionists were very friendly and always available to sortout any queries.

The location of the hotel is really good. breakfast was excellent, staff was very friendly and professional. like at home... Courteous staff. Comfortable, warm room, nicely decorated and furnished. Proximity to "high" and "low" towns. Metro station a few metres away. Good bars and restaurants within easy walking distance.Room was amazing for the price and breakfast was a treat. Location is right next to a subway stop so it was very convenient to get to major transportation hubs. Exelent location, polite staff, nice rooms and good breakfast.I got a business suite room for the price of regular room, a result of good luck leaving the booking and planning of this trip until very late. I am not always this "lucky"..the Hotel Chambord, which I have passed by many times in Brussels but never really been tempted to enter, was a very pleasant surprise. A good quality 3 star in an area close to the EU - where there are far too many and too pricey 4-star hotels - is a great business concept. This is a winner. The location, the price, and all of the "concierge". And the room had a wonderfull view over the city and it was very cosy, even though the heating was broken.Pleasant, comfortable, modernised room, good breakfast. The location is great and the price very affordable.Well situated for all tourist sites, subway etc. Being on the 5th floor meant we had a balcony, giving us a great view over the city. Even though we were right next to the main high street, once the balcony door was closed there was little street noise. Clean room and bathroom, both good sizes. Breakfast room was light and clean. If you're not fortunate to get a room that's on one of the recently renovated floors, you are missing out. Aside from having to drop off and pick up the room key upon exit/re-entry to the hotel, which sometimes meant you had to wait in line behind others who are checking in when you just need your key, it's very convenient.We could not hook up to the Internet in the room with our lap top. The breakfast on sunday was a complete caos. There was absolutely no food. Nobody that would set the tables or pick up the used dishes and they were not very polite at all. And, yet, there was this group that was being waited on at the table and for them there was enough of everything. It left me with a very bad image of the hotel to see the diferent guests being threated so diferently.The cost of internet, as in many hotels, is very expensive. Would benefit from tea making facilities and mini bar in rooms. Food at breakfast could have been warmer. For a 2 night stay we did have all we needed.I dont know whose fault (booking.com or the hotel staff) it is but thehotel still blocking the price of my stay on my credit card as 3 dayspassed from check out date and I already paid it. Dont make areservation via booking.com or by using a credit card to this hotel. Thehotel staff also demanded printed documents to solve theproblem???why??? Hope they solve the blockade soon. Shower was very small, the doors barely closed in the cylinder typeshower. Remodeling was going on at the hotel which caused alot of noiseearly in the morning ( Not happy) It woud have also been alot morecomfortable if there was air conditioning in room.I don't think our bedroom was renovated last year. the dining room and reception areas had been renovated but I am unsure whether any or some rooms were also updated last year. Traffic noise was a concern especially for lower rooms facing the street. The hotel was also a little on the hot side of comfort. We did find the bar in reception a bit on the small size and lacking athmosphere. The room while cosy was a bit on the small size but this is difficult to change. I would have liked to have a mini bar and if not possible a complimentary bottle of water would be a good idea!. Hairdryer did not work. Room was quite small. I would have prefered a room that has been renovated similar to those onthe website. However, it was comfortable and well located. no. elevator. No air conditioning. breakfast on Sunday was totally gone and not replaced after 9 a.m.They tried to give us a room very different from the picture in the website; we complain about this and they gave us the right room. Some small failures of the equipment (e.g. window in the bathroom, lights near the bed). only part of the hotel has been refurbished, room and bath could have been cleaner, breakfast: staff very friendly but you had to ask for every single item to be re-filled. room is so hot, furnitures dilapedated, corridors are not well lit. Small bedrooms. No smoking rooms, no music and sports channels , no Russian lenguade channels on TV,very bad coffee. cleaner was bit unorganised and did not make up the room properly, the breakfast stuff could be more polite. The room pictures on the internet, did not corresponde to our room, and was quite different, and not exactly what we were expecting. Found the room a bit hot and stuffy but better hot than too cold. Toilet working but not completely in order. Internet access should be free. No fresh fruit for breakfast.
