Nothing was too much trouble for your staff. We arrived earlier than check in so our luggage was stored for us & taken up to our room ready for us when we returned. The porters stored the luggage at check out willingly & when I asked to fetch something out of my bag which they had already taken to the storage room the were very happy to go back & get my bag for me. The breakfast was wonderful. The omelete lady made me the best omelete I have ever eaten. The made to order coffee was.
all reviews » I have stayed at this hotel on 4 other occasions and this visit by far was the best experience. The rooms were luxurious, spacious and very comfortable, hardly heard any noise, a great bonus, staff we met were extremely helpful and very friendly, even the young man who fixed our tv, very prompt and he knew what he was doing! Would definitely re-book again, thank you for a great stay :). The Crown Plaza is an excellent hotel with all facilities. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, professional staff, excellent food. Its location is only just slightly out of the CBD but a walk of about 15 minutes will take you to the hub of Melbourne. On the other hand close to all the restaurants on the Southside of the Yarra river. Fantastic hotel! All the reception, concierge, cleaners all said good morning to you. Very clean and the beds were comfortable. Nice pool. Had a fantastic buffet breakfast. Next to Southbank and has trams outside or around the corner. Had a lovely view over the Yarra and would happily stay again. Our stay at the Crown can only be describe as excellent. From the time we arrive, till our departure the room and service was great. Very nice housekeeping service lady named Kalina, who cleaned our room spotlessly the first two mornings. Fast check in and check out. Awesome location for Crown Casino & Southbank. Location is excellent and easy to get to various sites particularly the Convention Center and Casino. Excellent breakfast as part of your room charge. The position in relation to the Docklands precinct was a distinct advantage, having a physical disability. Room was spacious. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast was really good. The river view was beautiful day and night. The location was perfect for shopping, visiting Crown and heading out to Rod Laver Arena. Staff made the stay very enjoyable and value for money was great! Food at the downstairs restaurant was the best meal we had in Melbourne as well. All in all fantastic hotel! In room menu had lots of good options and not over priced. Room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. The air conditioning in room 203 was a little warm even when I lowered it to 21. Only gripe, room service breakfast was very nice but quite small for $24.50 each, otherwise a hotel to recommend. I had to pay a high rate because of the second testmatch rugby played nearbye that weekend. All payments were taken in advance of a 4 night stay. We had two double beds, but there was no couch, not even a 2 seater. Would have been nice to not have to watch tv in bed. Didn't use valet as $40 seems a bit steep. My first visit i made 3 calls to housekeeping. Room was serviced eventually at 5.30pm. This visit my room wasn't serviced until i had made a call to housekeeping at 3.30pm. Price was too expensive for the rooms and accounting was poor as they were trying to charge rates above the agreed rates booked through letsbookhotel.com for our 5 day stay. Nothing! Maybe the price of the drinks in the bar?? a little over the top I thought, but the lady was lovely. No complaints! Would like free wifi. Could have had more information in room on hotel services and activities around the city eg: Crown complex etc. Nothing bad to report!. The pool and area could be bigger or have a more shaded area and more chairs also maybe an option of a pool towel in the room would of been handy. The staff in the breakfast area could benefit from some extra training in some politeness, for example, not leaning over the top of people or pushing past people in the 'way'. The service was reasonable, but disappointing that it was not as high as the rest of the staff. 15 - 20 min walk from Fiddler Station which is a tourist area. Free Internet service is available only for 2 hours in a day and that also in the lobby area. When I arrived I asked if the parking come with it they guy said yes in the end we paid $40 to park once for 8 hours. The dining room staff. On the whole they were sloppy and careless and lacked training. The food was mediocre. That we had to leave. No dislikes at all. Room wasn't large but it was only a standard room so maybe with an upgrade you would assume there is more space. Enough room and facilities for the three nights we were there. signage to find the place initially - the sat nav and our human eye struggled to find the way in by car. Wished we had a view of the lights on the yarra.... No lift from lobby to floor above where you needed to go to access rooms. A bit noisy during the day. Although the breakfast was plentiful it really needed to be hotter but having said that, the quality was excellent. Arranged for newspaper delivery to room- did not happen !!. We had booked the room for 7 nights On booking in we were told that we could pay our account on leaving We were some what surprised to be asked to pay our acc after only 3 days and again after the next 3 days No body told us that our credit limit was set at $1000.00 We had offered to pay our acc upfront on arrival We have never encountered this any where else bebore If this is the norm for the hotel it should be pointed out on arrival. Check-in staff stern. Tv on demand not working 2nd night. Some stains on the carpet and a few basic crockery items missing. Shelves a bit bare, lobby floor not clear from lift. Needs bigger sign,. Can't think of anything really. The shower over the bath. Could be replaced with a walk-in shower, much safer. The restaurant downstairs is lovely but the food was nothing to rave about for the prices charged. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing everything was great. We requested a room with views of the river at the time of on -line booking and were disappointed our request was not meet. There was nothing at all to complain about. A little stuffy in the room- fresh air would be good.
