We enjoyed the facilities and the great view Even though the resort was busy it was not over crowded There was no waiting for the lifts or at the pool The staff were very friendly which made us feel very comfortable. The service, location and the way the Mantra staff gave a 2 hour free late check out for me and my friend who's husband is dying and needed to have a break away from all the stress. Thanks again from both of us. :).

Felt very special as there was everything in the unit that was good quality,and would definatly go back again. There is a diverse feel to the place and the beaches are beautiful. Coming from Western Australia that is compliment!!! We will stay at the Mantra on our next trip to Coolangatta. For a family from grandparents to young grandchildren, the suite was well laid out for privacy and comfort with quality furnishings, excelant restaurants right alongside. Great place to stay staff very friendly and helpful facilities were clean and comfortable and great view and location , a stroll across the road to patrolled beaches. Friendly staff at reception. A lot cleaner than other like places for the price. The building is very suited to groups playing golf at Coolangatta Tweed Golf course. The location was amazing. the bed and pillows were so comfortable. The view was superb. The front reception staff were warm, friendly and extremely helpful. Great location and views. Handy to the impressive golden sand beach. Lovely temperatures in November with breeze mean we didn't need to use air conditioning. The pool could have been heated as it was to cold for my kids to enjoy the pool on our stay. Both days were 27c. all ok. We loved our stay at Mantra, unfortunately because of family reasons we had to leave earlier than booked date. Our apartment (505) had a near new kitchen in it but the overall appearance was spoilt with a really worn out coffee table and bedside units. They were water damaged, blistered and delaminating. Shower control was too sensitive making it a mission to get the temperature correct. Room advertised with pay per view movies - these weren't available in that apartment not that this was an issue for us. Toilet leaked. No DVD access without hiring an additional device. Hot water was very variable and very limited tea/coffee supply. Although the room itself was very clean it smelt like Chinese food. Another minor thing there was no extra blankets. could of put couples higher away from the pool, and families closer as it can be very noisy in the morning when kids in the pool are screaming and playing, somthing for them to think about , makes sense. Not enough shade around the pool. Single beds too small - very uncomfortable. They had just installed a new computer, and the key wouldn't cut properly.(Not really their fault.) It took us about 45 minutes, and three trips back to reception to get into your room .Also saturday morning we both had cold showers, as no-one thought too tell us to run hot water in laundry. So hot water would come down from top floor. Pool wa sa little cloudy. No stereo in the room. Apartment needs refurbishing. Some of the rooms could do with a little more modern decoration. Fresh towels should be available free of charge daily. The pool was shaded in the afternoon lol. Dated, lifts old , but main complaint was we did not have enough time to enjoy,sauna etc as only up for quick visit to family!. Nothing :). Could do with a bit of updating. They took a $200 security on my credit card when we checked. Don't have any problem with this but I don't see why they would need to take 7-10 days to issue a refund on my card after we checked out. Would have thought it might only take 5 minutes to check the room !!. N/a. Damaged furniture - bubbles on coffee table and bedside table. The loud guests waking me at 3.15am!. Not being aware of the $200 bond payment when I made the booking through 'letsbookhotel.com'. showers were temperamental. can not think of any think. The $200 freeze on my credit card. Ok with me but if I had been wanting to spend up to the limit whilst on holidays I would have been short $200. Only was aware when I read the paper work, was not advised up front Credit card was asked for only as security. Bed too hard. time for the shower to heat. Booked a certain bed preference and didn't get what we booked which was a disappointment. Very late on check in as they were still cleaning our room, and room was still very dusty and some hair on the bathroom floor. Air conditioner wouldn't work and staff not very helpful. Shower temperature was hard to regulate and then kept going hot or cold. Several cockroaches on table and floor. No screen doors. Tired building, given unrenovated room (1 br apt), then told on checkout we should have requested a renovated room (some were available). Owners who renovate should be rewarded first, unrenovators last. $20 hr late check out fee a real irritant. We won't be back. Staff were rude, bed was like sleeping on concrete. Left accommodation early on friday and drove home to brisbane due to bed being so bad, staff didnt care or try to rectify problem and were happy to see us leave.
