Guests have access to a table tennis table, hammocks and lounges around the beach side pool. Location and view amazing. Cafe across the road on the beach had beautiful food then you had plenty of places to walk off your breakfast. Beautiful area. I would definitely stay again and would recommend if beds were replaced and made comfy. We enjoyed our stay at Komune. Was what we expected. Views were fantastic. Read reviews, yes there is sand on the floors - what do you expect it's just across the road from beach. It didn't bother us. We wouuld stay there again.
all reviews » Nice location at the beach in Coolangatta. Luxury rooms that once seems to be an apartment, but changed into a dorm nowadays. Nice bar below with music. Music stops at midnight, so easy to sleep (after that time). My bed in a dorm was double booked and I ended up in the penthouse all to myself: top floor, 360 views over Coolangatta, hot jakuzzi on the balcony etc. Was worth the money paid =). I loved the design, the view & the fact that it felt like home. I have already instagramed it and told all my friends how lovely it was. Thanks and hope to come back soon. :-). Best location in Gold Coast. This resort is right in front of one of the most beautiful beaches in the Gold Coast area, and right next to the others must to go beaches. I liked how each room had its own bathroom and balcony. So it's not like I was sharing with 100 people. I could relax and the people where great. The views,the people and staff, amenities and awesome location. This was our 3rd time we have stayed at Komune and we love it,very layback. Queen bed was 2 single beds joined and pillows could be renewed. After all when on holidays you look forward to a good comfortable night sleep. Floors were sticky and not cleaned properly being all tiles you notice it so we had to wear shoes during our stay. Party noise from the pool downstairs. No room services. I didn't like how I could not tell which bed was taken or free. It would have been great of stuff told me how many people where occupying the room so I could judge what beds where free. Or better yet if I was ascorted up bu staff and shown the room and they could tell me what bed was not taken. Nothing. The spa was not heated, and was hard to swim in the pool with a catwalk left up for most of our stay... That I had to leave :-). No biscuits to have with coffee/ No table to write on, used top of microwave. No warmth with no carpet in bedroom, just tiles. Nothing. Uncomfortable bed, dirty room, handles missing off windows and could smell the rubbish shoot. It was SO noisy I hardly slept. Woke up tired and grumpy. The night club and noise were a little daunting. Nothing. I would have liked a spa bath but that's okay. The fact that there was no food available before 5pm & there was no ice cube tray in our unit. The night club and also restaurant was shut. Could not locate staff anywhere to request new towels the next day. On arrival was asked for International passport, I didn't have one as im Australian and was told they don't let Australians stay there!!! Nightclub downstairs was very noisey!! Bunkbeds were terrible, prob not even safe.. No aircon in the dorm room.. Sharing was terrible.. having to leave a deposit( not stated on web site . not being told a deposit is required). rooms full of sand and un-mopped floors.parking area stinks of rubbish. rooms in very average condition. last visit to this place. Elevator didn't go up to top floor which meant we had to lug heavy bags up several flights of stairs - what gives? Very loud screeching chicks and music from party below and everything rattled in the roof from very heavy winds which of course couldn't be helped. I woke up like every 10 minutes. Worst. Sleep. Ever!!!!.
