Absolute perfection. We stayed in the relaxation room for one night and could say it was the best stay of our little holiday. The staff were very professional, positive, helpful, efficient and definately went out of their way to provide world class service. The rooms were very design full and everything in order. The executive room view was direct to the beach side. I liked the friendly staff from the Receptionist to the bar staff and the restaurant staff, all very welcoming. I loved our room, it was very clean and modern. Our dinner at Salt Grill was beautiful and we were on a Travelzoo voucher but not made to feel second class citizens. The food was fantastic, and the service excellent. We also had breakfast at Salt Grill and it was very good too. We liked the quietness of the room, we liked that it was neat and tidy, it was a beautiful surprise to receive a bottle of champagne with choc strawberris on our arrival to our room, because we were there to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. It was a great location, so close to everything we liked and needed. the staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed and pillows were fantastic. The soundproofing from the balcony was great as our room looked out over Orchid Ave but the nightlife noise was not disturbing at all. The hotel restaurant (Salt grill) was magnificent. Hilton chain is quite uniform on their quality, and this hotel complies with all expectations one has from an Hilton. We enjoyed the whole experience, so there was nothing that we did not like. the seats in our room could have been a little more comfortable, no foot rests either, but the bed was amazing and comfy.I would have liked a small kitchen too, there was no place to fill the kettle for a cuppa but had to use the bathroom. there were no cloths to wipe up after making cups of tea and coffee. Carpark was confusing with security gates for residential parkers, yet we were able to walk around the normal carpark to behind the gate. Other guests found it confusing with the carpark signs not being clear. We were also placed in a room which hada tiny connecting hallway with the adjacent room, which meant we had to go through a main door, then our room door. Everytime the main door was opened it caused our room door to rattle loudly like someone was trying to get in. A little disconcerting. Hotel is quite big (many rooms) which means that reception area can be very buzzy at times. Pay extra for internet and parking made the total costs of our stay too high for the quality. Then many other (better) possibilities are within the same price range. Dont provide enough kitchen utensils and the wood furniture doesn't go with the whole interior outlook. that there was no seating on the balcony. Wifi was an extra $30 for 24 hours. This seemed like a money grab considering I was spending $500 for a studio for a single night. Also parking costs unless you spend at their own food venues. Valet was $30!. Expensive wifi. Nothing. Cannot fault the Hilton. Was a bit hard to get in and out of because of the one way street, however this is no reflection on the hotel itself. Nothing. The very complicated car park. The indoor pool area, spa to small not enough jets, no shower for people that came out of sauna, they went into pool to wash sweat off instead. No out door pool was heated, very upsetting! I would have liked a bath tub. Hard to get there by car. Noisey saturday night had trouble sleeping. Having to pay for parking. Cleaning services was not good. Bathrooms were not cleaned properly. Charged for parking - $15. no free wifi outdoor pool not heated. No couch. The spa was cold and the facilities had no maintenence staff. aircondition didn't work satisfactly. The type of undesirables that the GC is attracting. Very bad menu for room dining after mid night. The shampoo and the conditioner are not suitable to all hair. nothing..... surfers paradise - its trashy the inhouse coffee shop - hopeless. Car parking. room layout. The traffic around the Gold Coast at the moment is horrendous due to all the construction for the light rail. If I had realized the Hilton was in the middle of it, I would have chosen somewhere else to stay. Shower cubicle in our room was mouldy and there were no washers. None of the pools were heated and the spa, although heated, was over run with children jumping and playing. Not very relaxing. We were put in a room that was designed for wheel chairs. The open plan bathroom led to water everywhere when you used the shower. Parking cost an additional $15 per night. the sound-proofing the room arrangement the way they respond to feedback. the overpriced dinner. The room was small and no nice view as expected just tiny balcony. the price of the facilities way too expensive I don't think the room was worth $300!. Check in confussion, two lines, no order of people waiting, just next in line. Manager on duty was poor at recognising this. Only two at check in, understaffed. Lift signage poor, that service lower levels & upper levels. The location is shocking. It took me 40 mins to navigate the road works, closed off roads and traffic jams. I truely can't see me going back because of that alone. I only stayed a night but my it was already ruined because of the difficulty of your location. Poor view in my room. other than 1 staff member who saved us a number of times from long waits, most were disinterested and more focused on chatting to each other. We waited a full 40 minutes for some towels at the pool on our first day... a sign of things to come. Shower was not hot, just warm. Toilet paper was not replaced Expect better service from Hilton. A king room doesn't have a bath tab and only have a shower. doesn't worth the money.
