Allocated car space outside the room; ice in freezer & chilled water in frig; full kitchen & IGA almost next door. Nice pool & a lovely attitude towards having a drink - "No glass in pool area but plastic cups available at reception for beer/wine". My partner and I had a most wonderful experience staying at the Motel. It is so central to everywhere, Kangaroo Point Look Out, South Bank, The Pineapple Hotel across the road, beautiful meals and great hospitality.
all reviews » The location was good being close to South Bank and maritime museum. It is not too far to walk to the city via the pedestrian bridge. Friendly staff, great room, great location. We have stayed here 3-4 times, and would definitely come back again. Quiet, handy to town, great being on the bus route. Would stay there again and recommend it to others. The owner's welcome, helpfulness and friendliness. Bed was good and room was a good size. The hospitality, kindness and availability of Moira and Les Brass. It was the first Motel Ive ever stayed at where I had to use the same bath towel every day for my entire stay. Id have loved a nice dry clean towel. Rattling air conditioner. Earlymorning road noise! Quite a walk from ferry to CBD and Sputh Bank. Paying for wi-fi, the inconsiderate noisy hockey team, shame coffe/tea not replenished daily. Perhaps more frequent room service would be well appreciated. Add a coffee plunger to the kitchen appliances. Consider a ceiling fan as an alternative to airconditioning. stairs to unit (I told managers off my heart condition and problem associated with same). Hotel was at best only 50% 0ccupied withempty ground floor rooms.I believe units are privately owned. It would seem all owners would be getting sequential occupation. Hardest motel bed I have ever slept on. the lady at reception is very rude and because of that i will never stay there again and the bed was like sleeping on a brick it was very hard and uncomfortable. Very dated decor, window rattler air con very noisy. Would not go there again.
