We appreciated the easy walking access to the Southbank area, without the price tag for being closer. The rooms provided everything we needed with kitchen and laundry facilities. Our room was bright, spacious and suitable for our needs as we weren't spending much time there. We enjoyed the bonus rooftop area where we could go to get some fresh air and see the view. Great hotel for anyone with a child staying in hospital for extended treatment. Walk to and from the hospital in 3 minutes. We booked the basic room with queen size bed. Was perfect to return to after a long day at the hospital.
all reviews » The location was within walking distance to a number of restaurants, shops and Southside. The room was cozy and well equipped, the view from the sky deck was great, and it was easy to get to. The service and the studio room I stayed in was fantastic. Everything was provided including a washer/dryer which is very rare in studio hotel accommodation. The room was immaculatly clean. everything was excellent, very helpful staff, great location, very comfortable room - we got a good deal and will stay again as well as recommend it, many thanks. My request for an upper level view room was accommodated. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were very helpful with all my questions. The wifi was difficult to set up. The bed was a bit too hard. The directions to the place are a little tricky. My gps got very confused and it took some time to locate the street. Little bit too small to sit and enjoy a meal, no balcony, so did not eat in at all. Pool very small. Nothing. The view was obstructed and not what it showed online. The unexpected bond fee... I would have liked access to internet to be included in room rate. The way u couldnt get to another floor via the lift. Our friends were on another floor so it was a hassle when we wanted to go to their room. No dishes to cook in microwave and no instructions for type of oven. Lack if bench space could do with a bench cover over laundry sink. Kitchen was a bit skimpy on cooking utensils, basic supplies. Location has no shops etc for that late night snack etc. It would be great if pool could be solar heated!. The only issue I had was my phone in the room did not work. I mentioned it to the front desk on a Sunday a it still was not fixed when I departed on Friday. immediate surrounds a bit industrial. The balcony was lovely but it didn't have a view if we had of known we wouldn't of paid the extra money for a balcony. No restaurant No dryer in room. Other peoples hair in the corners of the bathroom facilities. An oven or a convection microwave would be good. service staff waking us up at 8am to service room on day of checkout. $20 bill for use of internet !!! Unbelievable Staff knew very little about local facilities. None of 3 staff knew how to use the local CycleRide Brisbane facility. Given inaccurate instructions regarding directions. tricky to drive too. Smell in the room. For the last 3 visits I have had a disagreeable (sewer) smell that remained regardless of the doors/windows being left open. It was not sure if it came from the floor drain in the bathroom or kitchen. On my second last visit there was a wet patch outside the bathroom door (I reported it) that got bigger during my stay (6+days). I had to put towels down as I could not jump over the wet spot. t. The price, the room had a bad smell when we walked in, couldnt find any heating, caught a cold because I froze while there. Problems with traffic congestion at peak hours poor access. Staff not friendly. Demanded security deposit of $300 - despite the other guests being my husband and daughter and a sign stated non-related guests only needed to pay that deposit.
