  The theme of Refúgio is rustic and tasteful. I love this area of Rio and was pleased to learn that a budget-friendly, clean, comfortable and modern hostel has opened here! The Flamengo area is a great in Rio de Janeiro to stay, where you can stay at a great hotel, but not pay the price as you would in Copacabana or Ipanema.   Hotel Rondonia is a nice place to stay. We had 4 quite rooms (on level 8). Breakfast is very good....and so is the location. - Service was good, breakfast had nice choices, room got cleaned everyday.

  The staff was excellent and very helpful, there was always at least one English speaking employee at the front desk, access to the Metro (subway) and bus lines was a piece of cake, and our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious.   I like the location - Flamengo is a good area with lots of restaurants and shops and there is the beach close by. The hotel is comfortable and has a decent restaurant and it is easy to get taxis as there is a local rank.   This was the most unique and sexy hotel I've stayed at. A delicious breakfast was delivered to our room every morning and the staff was extrememly helpful. But the best part about the room was the mirrors above the bed and the huge jetted spa with multi colored lights and once again a huge mirror above it!
