The location was the best. Also, having the Daily Grill restaurant right next door was very convenient. The hotel has exceptional location! The breakfast was among the best I've had in San Francisco.Accomodating staff, comfortable room, especially beds. location, easy access to transportation and food. lovely hotel in good position for tourists. all reviews » Close to shopping area. As usual , great. The staff is very helpful. Housekeeping works great. Excellent value for price. The character of the rooms is special. The Concierge was very helpful, and the Manager did have the courtesy to offer breakfast vouchers after I pointed out the detail of our booking confirmation (see below). the Food available in the Daily Grill was very good but, as are many establishments in the area it was overpriced.The beds in the rooms were very comfortable. Two different buildings requiring use of stairs to go from one tothe other. no free internet. food and drink expensive. The Petit Room is really really small - not suitable for 2 people. Luckily we were able to upgrade for 30 USD per night.We did not like the fact that having booked a queen sized bed many months ago, and having notified the hotel that we would be a late arrival, there was not a room with queen sized bed for us. The queen room was exceptionally small. i wouldn't not have paid the amount i did if i had know the size!. The pool area was not great. the fact you had to climb 17 steps to the lift and it was away around the back. The noise from pool users at early and late hours. We had a room by the street and can hear the constant ambulance and fire trucks driving by. There was a temporary wooden stairs connecting the main hotel and the club room section, no lift is provided between these two sections so we had to carry our bags up this stairs to connect with the lift. Staff unhelpful with directions to this section of the hotel and no assistance offered with bags. Reception Staff generally unhelpful.Hotel is getting a bit old and dated. Room quite small, old and dated. Very expensive extras : breakfast,internet...on arrival we were given a room with a wall view ,view not as shown on web site told we would have to pay $40 dollar for a better room.After complaining got room for price as booked with booking . Due to the popularity of the restaurant there is often a 20 minute wait for a breakfast table - I think hotel guests should have priority as it is the hotel restaurant after all. As above the worst room we have ever stayed ın.

Proceed through the intersection on to Bryant Street (DO NOT MAKE A SHARP LEFT ONTO 7th STREET)
Drive two blocks to 5th Street and turn left
