Location is great. Staff was very helpful. We were sent to a room initially that had been cleaned but then it looked like someone had come afterwards to shower and dress (used razor in shower, empty perfume bottle, towel and robe used, etc.) The staff was very apologetic, sent us to a better room and sent up a bottle of red wine. They handled it very nicely and we very much appreciated it. Restaurant was very good, but my son had a burger the last night (and raw oysters) and he threw-up an.
all reviews » Waking up to a view of High Line Park and the Empire State Building. Comfortable bed, quiet despite being in the middle of the city and great shower. The location was perfect...close to the Village, Meatpacking District, and Chelsea. The video that plays in the elevator...what a creepy and great touch. Everyone was mesmerized by it! Patio on the ground floor and restaurants are great touches, especially as each have a different feel, although our service was really slow even though it wasn'. It was our first time staying here and from the time we checked in it was very ENJOYABLE. Orlando started our visit our by offering us a drink because our room was not ready and we were celebrating a BIG birthday. He was very approachable and made our first impression of your hotel a very positive and impressive one. The valets, restaurant staff, etc were very professional.We rec'd a bottle of champagne that I thought was a REALLY nice touch. Thank you! We will definitley be back!!. We were a group of 14 friends traveling to NYC for the weekend of which1 12 were staying there. This hotel has everything for those seeking for a fun weekend in NYC. The Top of the Standard ( aka boom, boom room) is one of the most beautiful spaces i've seen in a while, Le Bain its more hipster, but no less fun. The restaurants ( pizza place and Standard Grill are always full at all times of the day. The rooms are well designed and stylish. Would stay there 1000 times. :-). Loved the room layouts, the amazing bath/shower with glass wall with view on the skyline, and the view! Beds were comfy, check-in was a breeze and free wi-fi. Great location with tons of shopping and great restaurants everywhere. Staff were really great and went out of their way to make us feel very welcome on our anniversary! For a very special weekend -- worth the price!. Absolutely stunning room, with views on three sides - including Statue of Liberty which was visible from the very comfortable bed! Note: we went for a larger than standard room. Tastefully hip design, the kind of place that makes you feel cooler just by staying there. Excellent bar and grill, and rooftop cocktail lounge wildly over-the-top. In a good way. The location is right above High Line walk way and surrounded by nice restaurants. It is easy to drive in and out from New Jersey. Parking service made a difference, particularly after we drove two hours to the city. The hotel design is very attractive and we had a good view of the city staying on the 9th floor. #1 The children ice skating, the staff where so professional. the roof top bar amazing, bar tenders, the veiw, the uniforms both Men + women. Felt good to dress up and be part of its scene. Room was well designed and the views were excellent. Such a warm and romantic vibe. Great magazines in the room, and the free design/architecture movies were really good. Absolutely amazing hotel in a great location if you want to get away from the major tourist areas. The roof top bar has the most incredible views of Manhattan and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Can't fault it and dream of going back again. He is fine. :). Nothing. Could be a little noisy if you were near the club, expensive, no free coffee or any breakfast included despite very high room rate. Very little. There was a small Room Service blunder (hey, anyone can make a mistake) which took a little post-stay emailing to resolve. The sink was shallow and water came out if we were not careful. Not a thing, thanks again. Bed was not the most comfortable. Valet was a 30 minute wait. Nothing!. The better-than-you attitude of the staff. My stay was way too short!. i would add a trash container to the bathroom- and an easier location to recharge my phone-. Our room felt a bit too much 'used' but still very nice. Will be noisy form nightclub on the roof or partying neighbors, bad idea if you like to go to sleep early. Bathroom - shower has full length glass window to bedroom so no privacy. No tea/coffee making facilities. Rooms very compact. Limited wardrobe space and no drawers. Bar prices are very high. Boring people or those who dont appreciate the aesthetic should not stay here. If you dont like being somewhere so hip, you really should try the holiday inn. As usual for NYC, the room was very small. I didn't care for the way it was furnished. Could only find one receptacle to recharge my I Pad. Bed very uncomfortable. Rock music from hotel bar (?) went on all night. I did not sleep well at all. Pricey, even for that part of town. Our room was nice but small, some of the furniture and finishes were starting to look a little tired. Disappointing that our reservation didn't automatically get us entry to the roof top club (or even preferential cueing). leaving !!!. Could hear shower and people next rooms - walls too thin. Noisy location. Rooms poorly insulated. You can hear the nightclub from the room, could be a little annoying at night - though they do provide ear plugs. Small rooms. Minimal storage. Huge window between bathroom and bedroom therefore no privacy! No coffee/tea in the room available. As a hotel guest in the Standard you are not allowed to have a drink in the bar on the 18th floor after 22.00 hour. This is only available for members ! What a rubbish arrangement especially as we were staying for 6 nights. I didn't like my bed. It sagged into the middle was uncomfortable. I had to sleep on an angle to get to sleep. The pillows were great. Our room was on the 17th floor with the nightclub on the 18th floor so we could hear the bass a bit. This was resolved by having the room fan on high. Room was nice but European-size small with access to the bed only from one side and the end as it was jammed in the corner. Ticket process in the Biergarden to purchase drinks. It does not have door or glass between the room and bathroom, so the bathroom seems like in the room. So much of noise from Bathroom is heard in the room that other person can not sleep at all. Even you can hear the water pipeline sound in the room if some one from upstairs is taking a shower. Rooms are very small. Tiny closet, lack of water pressure. I felt the room was slightly over priced and it was hard to gain access to the roof top after 10.30pm. Rain shower took a long time to stop water flow after turning off faucet tightly; seems like a waste of water. nothing. Not having tea and coffee making facilities in the room. no complimentary breakfast, expensive overall. the Bar Music has louder a little bit ..... Not enough Space for chlothes, a bit Noise Rooos (inside). Rooms are small and noice of the upstairs club. The room was unusually hot and stuffy, even with the thermostat turned to its lowest setting. Floor of shower area in bathroom does not drain well. The bar is so cool you can't get a seat. Lobby is pretty weird with all that black stone in the walkways. Rooms are too small and they are designed for midgets. The bed is like three inches off the ground. Tall people should not stay here!. The room was just small.
