Great staff and very helpful. Lovely hardwood floors and kitchenette in the rooms....it makes you feel like you are actually living in a flat in NYC. Free exercise included (there is no elevator, so you have to climb the stairs, no problem because you'll need to burn calories after feasting on NYC's culinary delights). Staff was superb! We were pleasantly surprised with our choice. Room was small but very doable for a couple. Sharing a bathroom wasn't a problem at all. We loved being able to open the window & look out onto the street. Excellent location. Would definitely recommend & return for another stay!!.

Found convenient onstreet parking two blocks away, but there are several for parking garages close by. Room was small as you might expect for price and NYC, but very comfortable. Excellent location outside 14th Street subway. Nice room with kitchen, coffee making microwave etc. Large TV and safe in room. There is no toilet but the communal showers/toilet are good. Staff helpful and nice. the location is excellent the metro station is very near shoping is easy you can get most of the things you need in the near by.the staff are helpful and cooperative . people very nice, always ready to help. location is perfect very close to the subway and in a very "alive" neighborhood... Wifi you have to pay for and is expensive. five floor building without a lift i had to carry all the bags upto the 5th floor where we satyed initially.the builging is old and i have noticed some rats in the first floor. the stairs as there is no elevator. but the staff helps us to get our luggage to the room so it was sweet from them. The night attendant over the week-end was not very efficient. She couldn't even give me a printout of my receipt. the size for more than 2 people is a little small, especially using the sofa bed. No elevators... The shared bathroom situation, room was small, had to carry our luggage up stairs. Shared bathroom, but it was clean. No Left. Of course this is not a 5***** Hotel, so do not expect a lot of service, totall clean rooms etc. There is no elevator in this hotel and you can be stuck on the 5th floor with very steep stairs. For 2 of my 5 nights I shared a bathroom - this wasn't a pleasant experience. I ended up using the local gym for showers. no elevator, I had to walk up 4 stairs with heavy suitcase.. Shared bathroom is not always very clean. Price is definitely too expensive for the room in question. Room didn't even have a table and chair, no decoration and the window seemed a relic from some medieval castle. It couldn't even be locked properly. This hotel no lift,you need to carry your luggage climb up,I paid wifi but always time out,the front desk said not their business,I call internet customers support but no help at all,so even I paid wifi fee still paid another internet fee for connection.The management seems no manage. Too much street noise, and no sound insulation in the building. Needed earplugs to get any hope of sleeping before 2AM. The single radiator was insufficient to keep up with the cold pouring in through the drafty window. To make it worse, only a single, very thin blanket on the bed. I needed to wear 3 layers to be warm enough to sleep once it was quiet enough to do so. While clean, the room looked grubby - needed a repaint. One of the bathtowels was torn. Charged $10 just to store my bag for a few hours - most places would do that for free for a customer. Common areas were not so clean. The place is a bit run down and overdue for an overhaul. Shared bathrooms, two for several rooms on a floor! Most staff were helful and friendly, others less so. Rat in my room eating my trash. Widow can't close properly Blind broken. Had to sleep dressed under blanket. Heating spasmodic. Trash holding in a cupboard in hallway. Unsanitary situation altogether. stairways, halls are grimy. shared bathrooms could also be better cleaned, especially the mouldy shower curtains. our room was not made up every day, floor not cleaned at all in a week. small rooms, no elevator - huge disadvantage for people with small children. shared washroom not that clean and didn't have toilet paper for a few days in a row. No elevator. Unsuitable for older couples/adults. Expensive, very old furniture and condition. Considering the price (high) it was very shabby. A kitchen but you can't cook because there is no dishes, stove ... We had to wait half an hour outside in cold weather because no staff was in the hotel to open the doors for check-in. There was a kitchen in the room instead of a toilet and shower. Cold wind came through the windows + not noise resistant. We had to pay extra for wifi + to leave the bags for a couple of hours after check in. I had some problems in the hotel... I left some chocolate inside my luggage and in de next day there was a hole in the pack... If you want to stay in a hotel with a rat as roommate this is the perfect place for you. Cleanliness. no elevator. Everything. Honestly...I think everything. unclean place, ruined wall, leaking of towel, no wardrobe, no iron table, no desk/table!. Rude night staff Should be called a hostel. limited space. Smell its was dirty I left after 5 min. Service less that minimum Lack of basic hygiene (bed bugs) Never negociate refunds (as other hotels would) Overall very bad experience.
