What people say
Great location, across the street from discounted parking and several subway lines. Spacious, extreemly spacious, breakfast area. Having a little extra space in your NYC trip is more important than new travelers realize; hotels at good prices are small, like most of the city. Room was clean, staff was friendly, and space in room was adequate (are you really staying in your room in NYC?). all reviews »
The location can't be beat! The staff was very helpful and even upgraded us to a suite for no charge. For a cheap hotel on 34th Street, it was excellent. The staff were very helpful, and I'd go there again. The location is excellent, also the staff:). location was perferct. The loction was just the best!! you could'nt get more central with everything on your door step!! Comfey rooms and hot powerful shower!!. The location was perfect. very good location. location breakfast. location. This was a very basic hotel but right in the centre of everything. on the same street as the Empire State Building and Macy's. They changed the beds and towels everyday a real bonus. that it was close to everything. We loved it's location. the location. Position. The hotel location. being in the centre of the city. Central position. This hotel was booked in September 2007. Two weeks before my schedualed stay, and whilst I was away on my holiday, I picked up an email to say that the hotel was closed and offered accomodation at another. As I never had access to the internet I accepted the alternative at the New York Inn. Although I sent you two emails the hotel never recieved any communication from you at the time I rang them. The hotel is very central however, anywhere south of central park is very well located. The location on 34th street is close to times square and the empire state building, however there are no nice restaurant or places where to have a drink in the evening. So it is not necessarily the best location. I'd choose Greenwich area if I was to go back to NYC as it is much nicer in the evening. The location of the hotel was the only thing that was good about it. location. Shower floor needed repair. Was clean, but it had some buckles. Those with a disability might consider somewhere else, but the average traveler won't be bothered by it--the price was great. The showers are an experience, and the breakfast catering is a bit sparse - but with the location and price, you really can't complain.noise from outside. Hotel could do with a lick of paint, But hey to be fare your not there to stay in your room all day! It's a good hotel for people on a budget! But if your a real picky person and want Hilton standards, Go to the Hilton!! We had an exellent 5 day holiday and would go back agian without a doubt!!. The breakfast served has lot of room for improvement. little breakfast. breakfast. The hotel was a little bit smelly. But i think this was because they have smoking rooms.the big fans outside our window. In the breakfast room we felt extreally unwelcome, the breakfast staff very rule and unfriendly, felt like we were in there way,. When the staff wanted to pass you they didn't excuse themselves they would just push past. Would be nice if they spoke English and were happy to serve you.very old, not renovated and small rooms. The room was not the best, the toilet seat cover was broken, I leave the place and it was still not fixed. The only thing was okay with the hotel was because they offer me a room to use the bathroom.poor state of hotel, very noisy. Fitments and furniture old and worn. Carpets visibly dirty.I checked out the same evening that I checked in due to the room and bed being full of bugs and dirty. On arriving 10.30 pm in New York we found the Hotel disgusting. Having seen the room we checked out and I managed to find an alternative accomodation else where. This hotel should be closed as the Regency Inn was. I shan't be using this web site to book hotels in the future.Awful. The hotel is old, dusty, dirty. The bathroom was disgusting. Avoid leaving your luggage in the luggage room as it is left open without security check : anybody can walk in and take the bags. The breakfast is a hip of junk on the sweet side. Overall, a moderately priced room for a very poor service. Before booking, considering paying more for a more conformtable/clean room somewhere else. The hotel did not live up to its description. It was old, very dated, not very clean and very noisy.rooms are very very old, dirty, aircondition was wraped up in plastic, difficult and not very friendly staff.
