The room was big enough. It has coffee maker and refrigerator that were very useful. The hotel location was good for us. It is near the metro (subway) and near central park. we could travel everywhere very easily. good service , all near the hotel , brodway st, subway. Location. well kept friendly place in quiet easy accessible part of town. Nice hotel staff, nice receptionists. Clean rooms.

The staff are very friendly and helpful and therooms are very comfortable and clean.This hotel is ideal for anyoneplanning a long term trip. It is also very close to Central Park and anumber of Museums. On nearby Amsterdam Ave there is a variety ofrestaurants to choose from with all tastes catered for. Good location in a quit area, but with lots of restaurants and cafe'sclose to the hotel. Close to the subway and walking distance fromCentral Park. Nice staff. The room for 4 people was a little small, but as long as you just need a place to sleep and keep your stuff it’s perfect for the price.The "Upper West" atmosphere. The localization of the hotel was good, but I have to mention they put me in a tiny room and also between a bedroom with a chinese couple with a big dog living - believe me!!! - in the hotel (which I think is illegal) and they have also a kitchen nearby my bedroom!!!. So every night the chinese woman was cooking and making noises into the kitchen when I was trying to sleep. We needed a table at the room and we didn't have one.The hotel is in a repair/renovation. For us it was not a problem and it didn't interupt us. We recomand that there will be a table in the room. Bathroom very small. Nobody to help you if were traveling annd . Maybe a little noisy - traffic. Needs more than one chair in a double room.My room was too small, with no table and no chair. My room was fairly old and a bit damaged. However the room was made everyday.very small bathroom. The bathroom was very,very small and using the toilet your head was over the basin.It was ok. Took a long time for them to clean the shared bathroom over the weekend. Room was either too hot or too cold ... no in between ... and the hot water was iffy. First night the towels were stained. Some of the staff were not very friendly.smell of cigarettes in the corridors and in the room. Room was rather old and needed some retouching, was a little shocking as I am used to newer 3 star hotels. There was definately a two star feel to the rooms furnishings. younger male receptionist was not helpful when we complained that the television was not working, he said reception was out all over that area. the older receptionist acted promptly and fixed the problem. the view of builders trash was not very nice. A later check out time would be nice. Very Small Bathroom. Extremely noisy due to bad window sound isolation.Our first room had cocroaches! Luckily we were moved to another room which was bigger and better. Some of hotel's desk personnell were a bit unpolite. The room temperature was difficult to control in other room (we had two rooms). There also was several hours cut in water supply, and we did not receive any apologies.It was undergoing construction and we were placed in a room during the first night which was above the area being repaired. I sometimes get awaken at night by creepy noises as is somebody is walking around the room. Needs updating. Noisy doors slamming. Front desk does not like to be bothered. Internet goes up and down. Cell phone tough to get a signal.I didin't like the the work of chamber-maid. This hotel was old, and well used.I guess for this money it is difficult to expect anything better in Manhatten. It is not well maintained, the carpet in the room was old and dirty.There were constructionworks all the time. The lounge wasn't ready and there were no facillty's (for example a bar). The room was to small for 4 adults. Bathroom. Internet does not work in room. No interest from staff to solve.Was not possible with xtra bed. the morning receptionist is rude.we had a very bad experience during our stay.the 1st day we stayed at a very nice room but in the morning (9:00) this receptionist called to demand to pack our things and change room.there was no explanation and sorry for all this inconvenience..the second room was at the 11th floor.but there was no elevator there..once we unpacked we came across cockroaches. It does not have any wireless internet, the shared bathroom has neverbeen cleaned during my 7 days stay (judging from the piling tissue paperin the rubbish bin), the room smells funny, the cabinet cannot be closedat all, it looks like a piece of cheap rough wood work which was paintedpoorly, the room was noisy because of the air-cond from another room, nochair or table for the single room. Service at the hotel desk and general hotel condition was poor, in europe hotel in that condition will be rated 1 star!. Too small room, small bed, small bathroom. Noisy heating. Long time waiting for warm water in shower. I do believe if they want to be a hotel they should respect their guests, because the price is not so low, as the hostellings in NYC. So I think they could give me a beter bedroom, and they should forbidden people living in the hotel with pets! I was scared of what that couple was doing with that dog in their bedroom!. Everything - cockroaches, dirty, old, tired, out of the way, rude staff,no facilities, miniature rooms.
