The location was excellent. the front desk starting with Christian, he always explianed how to get to our destination and he even wrote directions and marked on the map. i needed an extra room and he was always accomodating. Joshua, he was always nice with my parents especially speaking spanish to them as they were senior citizens, I was picking on him calling him Jacobs and still never complained. Thomas, he was also able to take care of my parents and he never hesitated to make our stay memora.

The hotel location is great: one block from A/C subway lines and two from 1/2 subway lines. One block from Central Park, Strawberry Fields location and one block from Columbus Ave (restaurants, drugstores). The breakfast is very good (waffles, fruits, yogurt, cereal, hot chocolate and muffins). I would like to appraise the concierge Suzanna. She helped us a lot, answering all our questions (in Russian language!), being nice and professional. We enjoyed the stay in the hotel so much that even stayed for one more day there. Proximity to Central Park, easy to walk over to the Metropolitan Museum and to Lincoln Centre, close to subway and bus transportation, easy to get around Manhattan, lovely neighbourhood. Comfortable king-size bed and lots of natural light in room. Like small size of hotel. The location is very good, just a block away from the 72 Street station of the B and C Trains, and 3 long blocks away from the 1,2, and 3 trains. Hot buffet breakfast was included, to include eggs, sausages, and waffles. Service was friendly and helpful. - Price - this was a good deal in downtown Manhattan - $209 - though nearly $250 with taxes per night - an ok breakfast was included - lots of restaurants nearby - subway nearby - central park nearby - friendly staff. room was clean & comfortable. staff very friendly & helpful. location was excellent for our purposes- theater & shopping. safe neighborhood. Suzanna & Felipe were particularly welcoming & friendly. My daughter and I truly enjoyed our week stay! Staying close to Central Park was much better than the hustle, bustle and noise of Time Square. Helpful and friendly staff, great location (in a quiet residential area close to Central Park), complimentary breakfast, they also lent us a small fridge with no additional cost. The room is very small, but as we returned only to take a shower and sleep, it was ok. The breakfast room is very small, we shared tables almost all mornings. The breakfast area is too small, so since 8AM it was a queue to find a free table. Breakfast ends too early, especially for weekends -- didn't make it in time!. The room wasn't entirely clean, with not a mint but a gum wrapper on my pillow. The small and slow elevator can be an issue, especially if you get a room on the 14th floor as I did. - The room was barely larger than a queen bed. - The elevator was extremely slow. breakfast is too early- and too cramped. Our room had to be the smallest we've ever stayed it...but it fit our travel budget!! Hopefully next time we travel to NYC we'll be able to secure a little larger room. The TV reception was not good, but we are not tv watchers - and the reading lights were great... Okay, the room was small, but very adequate for what I wanted. And it's New York!!!! Breakfast room too small, only one elevator for a 14 floor building, small room with really tiny bathroom and old ripped carpet. The water pipes made a horrific noise every time I ran the water. But I closed the bathroom door and put on my ear plug and was able to sleep without a problem. Room style could leave a bit to be desired but that's not why you are there. The showers etc made up for it really. The room was cramped and I had to go to the front desk since there were no towels in the room. However I later heard that the housekeepers have to vie for freshly washed towels and linens each day. air conditioning in the room wasn't quite up to the challenge of the heatwave. The tiny room I think would have gotten tiresome for more than one night. But the bigger problem was that everything was tiny, including the incredibly slow moving elevator, the hallways, and the cramped breakfast room. Breakfast not great. Could be improved but it is a budget hotel. Only one narrow lift for 14 stories for guests and staff. The cleaning staff take up the whole lift space with their trolly. The woman in the breakfast room was curt, left the garbage can overflowing with garbage on the floor during breakfast for 2 of the 4 days I was there, and was discourteous when guests asked questions. The space in general was tighter than we are used to. tiny bathroom, limited seating for breakfast, go early for breakfast!. Breakfast room crowded, inadequately supplied, and inadequately clean. Bathroom sink: slow drain and misdirected stream from faucet. Wi-Fi hopelessly inadequate; mostly could not get on, or, if I did, could not do tasks I needed to do; front desk of little help with this problem. The hotel was booked, I wanted to stay another night!. None. Small sink ok but shelf above it means head cannot get near enough to be over the sink. Very, very cramped room. Would use again if price low enough. Room to eat much too small for the number of rooms in the hotel, Permanent noise in the room ( coming from the air conditioning outside ? ), rather annoying . We were on the 9th floor, so lost much time waiting for the lift coming down and up at the same time. It's better to sleep on lower floors, to be able to take the stairs down! Sometimes no more bottles of water in the vendor of the hotel in the evening,. Room was small especially the bathroom. Very small room but thats NYC. Very small rooms. instant oatmeal, bathroom tiny. Small room, loud air conditioner, with weak heat.
