Rooftop area and the pool were magnificant! The service and friendlinessof the whole crew of the hotel was fantastic! We loved this hotel andwant to go back in the future!. Beautiful hotel, lovely location, good service, pleasant staff. I have been to NYC many times and was surprised how nice the hotel was for the price.Freshly renewed hotel, very nice rooms even if they are a bit small (but that's New York), and a very nice terras on the roof.

Fortunately the 2 others were professional and could resolve the issue.Over-priced, but all hotels in New York are over-priced. Water from tap was always too warm which necessitated deliveries of ice from the staff. No ice buckets in rooms. No ipod docking station was present, no CD player, either. Air conditioning was feeble during warm hours. lower lighting everywhere was a bit annoying. I had to switch rooms because the 1st one didn't have WiFi. The staff was reticent to make the change. The 2nd room I had was missing a shower door. I had to be careful while showering not to wet the entire bathroom. At checkout, I was told that I had made a 25 min call. I said I have a cell phone and never called outside the hotel. The agent removed the charge reticently. The room was tiny. The shower leaked.The room was smaller than expected for the priceof the room.I would have straighten up the breakfast service level. Breakfast at $17.00 was far too expensive if you merely wanted a continental style. Internet access was not free as at similar priced hotels in New York. Free daily newspaper was not delivered as implied in some of the literature. Bathroom shower posed some problems.It is really expensive, although this does have a lot to do with the terrible exchange rate at the moment. cost of telephone calls. Showered in the evening when hot water was not in such demand. Service provided.lack of seats of breakfasts and no didning facilities for lunch/dinner; poor lighting in the room (on the working desk there is no lamp at all). very very smal room. the breakfast room was regaulry booked out for meetings so you found yourself sitting in the bar are trying to balance a plate of food on your lap by the main entrance, this upset ever guest we spoke to. this happend twice during our stay. The bathroom was ridiculously small and the wash basin was impossible to use. The airco was from decades ago(?) and was extremely noisy. The hotel according to your web site boasted a restaurant which it did not have and breakfast was served in the bar and you had to sit and eat with it on your knee....disgusting!. The bar prices and in room prices were very expensive. The attitude of some staff at front desk was disappointing and irresponsible.The air conditioning is out dated.Staff needed to be more with it. air conditioning did not work and was not repaired, even after 7 days! the room was too hot. the shower did not work, but was repaired. after 9 a.m. the hot water supply was gone.Very dark and dingy needed more light. Price of the hotel. Lack of information - no maps of new york no tourist information etc. On web site it said that the roof top lounge and pool was open and they were not. the size of the room and bathroom; the room and bathroom is not equiped with things like hooks, stands for suitcases etc. The room was on top of the airconditioning system or some engine - wecould not sleep for 4 nights!!! They didnt help us the noise was awefull.
