I enjoyed that everything was in walking distance. Great restaurants, movie theather, bowling alley, and Target. When I had a problem with my room type and the non working refrigerator they addressed it the next morning, apologized repeatedly,offered a 50.00 credit toward the room without me asking and provided complimentary bottles of cold beverages for the replacement room.. The hotel is in the heart of the action-- a short walk to the Staples Center & events. Lots of restaurants in the area-- all within walking distance. The hotel has a wonderful lobby area lounge and a great restaurant for breakfast, lunch & dinner.

I was there to attend a concert Saturday night and the hotel and restaurants were close by. Centralized Modern Lounge and bar was very modern and aesthetically pleasing Any time I need to be in the Los Angeles area, JW Marriott is where I am staying. Having stayed in many hotels around the world the skin and bath collection supplied was the best. Appreciated bottled water supplied. Perfect for attending a Clippers game at Staples, and for walking around downtown LA. Spacious lobby with bar and coffee shop. food was excellent, the service from all personnel was great and a pleasure. I liked the room design also. Great costumer service, awesome security, great comfort in brand new facility and building. Needed to add a second room and it was done quickly with no hassle at the internet price. The location is extremely close to sports center and all the staffs are so helpful. Very good and clean room. Friendly staff. Great facilities and very nice pool area. Room service very friendly. That I requested a room with two double beds instead of a king. When we checked in they told me all those rooms were sold out the night before, but they could send up a roller way bed for my son. The roller way bed never arrived nor did the extra blanket we requested every hour for 4 hours straight. The refrigerator did not work so we had to keep going to the ice machine so the bottle water and sports drinks we had for drinking would be cold. There was NO shopping within walking distance-- and just a small gift shop in the hotel. I ordered a blanket because I am always a little colder than most people and was told they were out of blankets. They ended up sending me additional sheets. They should also make sure the thermostats work properly for those of us who need heat to be comfortable. Lounge food - but hard to fairly judge since there was a concert. Parking was expensive ($40/night). Location is great if you conducting business around LA Live, parking is overpriced. Visitor parking is pain in the you know where. We had booked a room for four persons and the confirmation said that breakfast was included. Although we had to pay for two persons. Pricey valet parking. Paying for Internet. Asked for a cot for my daughter to sleep on, it never showed up, she slept on the couch. Paying for parking as a guest. Could be noisy at the time of Staples Arena events. Charging 13 USD for Wifi in 2013 in this kind of hotel is truely ridiculous. The Concierge didn't seem approachable. There was no indication they were concierge and they seemed so wrapped up with their pc monitor that we were afraid to ask for help. When we finally did ask, the first person gave little help. It took a second try with a different person to get what we asked for. We felt like we were pulling them away from some task they needed to accomplish. My AC was not cool at all..... Pool Bar was not open for service on Sunday. Nothing...I would stay there again; particularly if I was going to a Lakers or Kings game; or to the Convention Center. Nothing. Front desk team should be better than what I have dealt with. Not very cooperative and helpful. A bit crowded. N/A. Breakfast was bad comparing to the hotels standard. we didn,t get our hotel room cleaned!!!. power went out at 12:30 and was REALLY INCONVENIENT as I was working and on deadline. Price. The front office staff is not so friendly. Despite to them that I am expecting a luggage from the shop I bought. They did not send to my room. I have to clarified with front office twice before they send me the luggage . I need to call the luggage company yo check which staff in the JW Marriot has receive the goods. This is not professional . We arrived and were given a room with no bed, unplugged tv and a dirty bathroom. When we told them at the front desk they were not very concerned and gave is another room, without really having any concern for their mistake or disorganization. Asked for double beds did not get. Had 2 adult kids w us, 1 slept on roll away 1 on floor w sheets no blankets cause hotel out. Parking was 80.00 for two cars. Room was suppose to come w breakfast was not told only for 2. When we arrived entrance to hotel ridiculous. When my adult children arrived later cones covered driveway so he circled streets trying to find entrance. Whole trip was uncomfortable and irritating.
